What would it cost to help me out....

    Hi all,

    I got a question.
I am getting bored by this SEO stuff and actually I do not have the time for it anymore. I have been working on this for several months now and although the results are getting better and better I really need some advice or help.

What would it cost to get my site's index page optimized for keywords that should not be to hard for someone with real experience with SEO. I'm a rodbuilder no internet marketing guy and I actually would like to keep it that way. I had fun trying to achieve good results but I'm getting stuck here.

Msn jumps from no 2 to 5 yahoo keeps bouncing between position 18 and 24 and google jumped to 36 last week but went back to position somewhere arround 50.

I got more backlinks than most of my competitors and I'm still working on backlinks I even managed to get people to write some articles about me and my work on well visited weblogs. I also try to get links inside my site to improve deeplinking

I noticed that small changes make pretty big changes so I guess I'm close to getting on first page positions for the three big SE's...but what changes...You guy's probably say ahhh and use your keyboard for a few secs (probably longer hehe) and flop I'm on the first page

To make a long story short...would someone be willing to help me out but does not wish to get rich over me? I'm just starting my business and do not have a lot of money to spend but getting good results is of great importance to succeeding as there is no market for my work in the country I come from alone.

I need to sell worldwide. My site is hosted in the US and that's where I would like to get my customers from. Right now the best results do get from the US so I guess that going well.

The domain is over three years old

anyway send me a PM or mail me or answer here with what you would ask

    a challenge...anyone?

    Danny

    Keone,

Sounds like you are doing well all by yourself. You know, if you have the feeling that you are almost breaking onto the first page you may well be right. Perhaps the changes needed are indeed quite small and you'll have the satisfaction of getting there all on your ownsome.

Why not put your site up in the reviews section and ask for some SEO related critiques. What you learn could be very useful and be just what you need without resorting to outsourcing.

You might want to include some info like how competitive your sector is and if there are specific terms you are hungry for either put them in the post or invite DP'ers to PM you for them.

DP'ers do like a challenge, so give that a bash.

    thanks for your reply e10,

I followed most of the rules and tried to keep it clean but for instance my title.
I kept it short to keep the density high but that does not really generate clicks.

A while ago I had a longer title with lower results but I received more vistors.

I would like to get rankings for Bamboo fly rod(s), bamboo flyrod(s) and bamboo fly fishing rod(s) as these are the three keyword phrases people search for the most.

I would love to get there by myself but the thing is I really should be making rods if you know what I mean I already invested way to much time in this.

My sector is not really competitive there are only a handfull real rodbuilders that make a living out of this and most of my competitors only have 6 to 12 backlinks in google google shows 30 for me now and I have about 175 "real" backlinks I think although msn is showing 900 or so... most of my competitors did not realy optimize as they look like "personal" pages to me do not use headings do not link with anchor text through their pages and all those things.

In fact I think my site has alot more quality when it comes to content too.
there are like 3 or 4 in the top 10 that have good content IMO.

402.000 results in google for bamboo fly rods
    12.800 for bamboo flyrods
887.000 for bamboo fly fishing rods

I managed to get a link in the yahoo dir with bamboo fly rods as the anchor text. but DMOZ refuses to hit me with love so far.

I could not see any <h2> tags. I'd suggest that you put a couple of these in.

One should have your keyword 'bamboo fly fishing rods' then make sure this phrase is within the text below the <h2>
