I had noticed that the CTR of my google ads going down day by day. This is really irritating me. Is this happening with every one?
I agree that regular visitors are likely to become less likely to click on ads over time, simply because they're probably being presented with the same ads again and again.
CTR reduces if you get MORE VISITORS and NO CLICKS. To reduce this stop taking visits by social bookmarking site or referral site who gives you only visits and No clicks. Wait for 1 to 2 month and let search visits increase for your site. It is believed that search engine traffic clicks on ads than referral clicks.
Very true... ... And get this -- a new study shows "less sophisticated" Google searchers click on AdSense 50% more than "more sophisticated" Google searchers. I go into detail here: Making money with AdSense - 7 fast secrets reveals how to triple your AdSense revenue
Sometimes I think it is the quality of the ads - some advertisers have no idea as to how to produce an enticing ad. Then again (this makes me mad) some put their direct telephone numbers in the ads and this negates interested parties clicking on them. Then again - some websites are so obviously poor that as soon as you land on one you clear off
I have found the same. It has been dropping. But it is common at this time of the year as advertisers stop their Adwords campaigns and prepare for the holidays. Less relevant ads = less clicks. Of course, if you are in travel, entertainment, shopping and so on, you will see clicks and earnings increase at this time of the year.
i think that the CTR and related to it is out of our control cause it depend to google to decide it.. until now i have do some research about this but still cannot find the real answer
My CTR is around 1 in 10 but about 75% of my daily traffic is existing users so I expect that to drop in half. Or hopefully not if Google has the inventory of ads to serve and don't keep showing my users the same ads over and over. If the same ads do show over and over, that's when you'll run into a problem. I myself am banking that the same people will click different ads, not that a lot of people will click one ad.
