This may seem like a weird question, but here goes. Somebody wants to link to about 10 of my internal pages from one of their pages (a PR4 page). In the future, when I get more pages up, they may want to link to those as well. I could end up having like 50 links to my site from this person's page. Is there any reason why I should not let somebody link to several of my internal pages from one page? Will that somehow penalize me in Google? Each of these internal pages is an individual blog, but all on the same domain name like www.widgets.com/blog1 and www.widgest.com/blog2 etc.
Seems to be similar to the issue discussed here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1081 Although it seems you were asked about the links in this case, many times you do not decide who links to you, and therefore I feel it makes no sense for your site to be penalized for incoming links, regardless of source or quantity. I would certainly appreciate someone linking to multiple internal pages on my domains Geir
God I wish people would get over their paranoia about Google penalizing sites. Google isn't in the business of penalizing sites. They are in the business of presenting the most relevant sites to searchers. They have dropped people from their index for outrageous spamming, but normally all that happens is that they may ignore links or whatever if they think they are artifical. But there are millions of sites out there. In fact there are billions of sites out there. They don't have the time or the energy, much less the interest, to be "penalizing" some site because there is a link to it from every page on a blog. Just go about your business and be happy that someone wants to link to you.
