their site looks like windows wallpaper. not professional at all regarding ranking, it is too early to tell. but the basic rules should ramain the same
It is early but I have picked up some basics of the algorithm. My detailed opinion is here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1365346 Summary: Bing and Yahoo are Onpage SEO focused Primarily. You will only rank well if your title starts off with your keywords, can be found in the description/tags as well as on the actual page. This is direct opposite of Google which focuses heavily on user feedback via backlinks and looks to Onpage SEO to verify accuracy. Bing traffic will convert better because it is extremely highly targeted organic traffic.
It is way too early to be able to tell. At this point we can make some basic observations but only time will tell as far as details go.
Yep, I agree... So far, the result of traffic and popularity from Bing decreases compare to MSN's / Live's result...
I know it's certainly different from google - my sites rank far lower in bing than in google so the comments made by gamefriends may have something to do with it. I suppose it will take time for people to suss it all out.
I agree to the comment that "It is too early to tell"... We may know this in time. But I bet it won't be different with MSN Live.
if you have a look at google analytics, it still hasnt categorised this as a search engine! its down as a refering site on some of my customers! far too early to tell algorithm, i can see some things have stayed the same, however others have changed, i get the feeling this is going to be more of a spammy ranking than a hard work type of rank to achieve
I dont think BING is anything new, I think its Microsoft way of renaming their services to give it a "hip" name, something like "Goolge" so that you will one day say, "hey, just bling it"
I was surprised to see a commercial on TV last night promoting Bing.com...I'm liking the switch. Live.com is now re-directed to Bing... I don't think anything will beat Google...I mean come on... Google this, Google that...Just Google it... Bing this, Bing that...Just Bing it... I dunno, It's kind of sticking now...
Bing seems to primarily like On-Page SEO as my website is ranking on the first page for the keywords affordable web design services and web design & development services. I am very shocked on that. If you care about Bing, then work on keyword optimization and on-page SEO. I can see you going far if they don't change their algorithm.
Thus far, I have actually been seeing some good traffic coming from Bing. I know that it is new so things may change, but can't complain just yet.
For the couple keywords I checked, I'm ranking exactly the same on Bing that I did on MSN/Live. I don't see where they've changed much except the name.
I would wait a little longer to ascertain their stability with regards to the customer loyalty and how well people adapt to it for their searching needs, before investing time and effort....to do deeper analysis into their working. Regards, RightMan
