I have much more than 2k if you combine all my accounts, and I am far from homeless.

I WAS HOMELESS IN THE PAST!

Let me tell you, when you have NOTHING...and no one to help, it is difficult to get on your feet. For quite a long time you teeter on the edge.

I found myself in a situation where after not needing a job for4 or 5 years, to suddenly needing one...and then not being able to find a decent one to where i would work anywhere..even making 8 or 9 bucks an hour.

Fortunately i was single at the time. I found myself homeless the first time...fortunately I did get on my feet, and just was what I call a "regular" guy for a year or so. I just went to work and went to church, hung out a little. But I was not happy at my job. I outperformed even my supervisors, and knew more than a lot of the folk...but to be honest i was scared to go back out on my own.

Well circumstances hit, and my landlord decided to increase my rent by 200 and start charging me for water (which previously was included) he told me this 2 weeks before my lease was up.

i didnt even have a car at the time. Iwas stuck, and after over a year of what I thought was getting on my feet (i had no savings or investments etc, just living paycheck to paycheck) i found myself with no where to stay again.

WHen you live paycheck to paycheck, you have just enough to take care of what you need. but to get an apartment you need to pay for the first month, last month and a security deposit. At the time i was paying around 400-450 a month in rent...i needed a minimum of 1200 to get aplace...i didnt have it

well, i got a new job, and ended up sleeping on an enclosed porch of one of my ex-girlfriends house. She had a small place and was a single mom of 3. All I could do was ask if i could sleep on the couch on her porch. She would feed me and was very encouraging.

I found a new church, and with my new job started to save money..but also had the bug to be back in business for myself and to help others. God showed me a lot of favor during that time.

One of her friends GAVE me...yes GAVE me a car..an 80s model mercury cougar. it ran well and was all i needed to feel "free". I didnt ahve to take the bus anymore...that was a weight lifted off my shoulders. So then i started doing some part time marketing, web design and graphics work. IN addition to my job. Finally I found an effeciency. a tiny place with a little bedroom, kitchen and bathroom...thats it. cost me 150 PER WEEK...let me tell you...again, living paycheck to paycheck...its hard to come up with 150 per week!

fortunately gas was less than a dollar a gallon then, well maybe a 1.50...if it was like now..at 4 a gallon...wow...i dont even want to think about it.

SO i had my own place i had some clients coming in and I had a job...i felt like i was "back"...I was confident, and i saw God blessing me and restoring me.

SO then i met a lady who needed my services, but didnt have a lot of money...she askeed why i didnt have an office...i told here i been there and done that, but was still a little scary.

She affered to trade office space for my work. so I did. She ended up being really fiesty, and demanding. To this day she still owes me money for something I gave her cash for to use her credit card, but didnt end up doing.

One night God gave me a dream...and I realized I needed to get out of there...so i took my money and put a deposit on office space. On friday I went into my shared office and she flips out because i was on the phone with a client, and wouldnt sit for 2 hours coaching her for her business...she tells me this is not working and I have to leave..I said "ok no problem"

On saturday, i had people in moving my stuff out of the office (it was getting too small anyway, i already had 2 desks 2 computers and several printers.

She seemed shocked...she was like "well, i didnt mean you had to get out right away, you know you can stay another monthor so, i just meant we needed to re-evaluate this..."

I said no worries, God already warned me and I listend to that little tingle in my gut, I already have a new office, and that's where I am moving to right now, so thanks..but its time to part ways.

Of course she is like, wait, i still need stuff done, what about the postcard campaign..etc etc etc...I told her she could pay cash for it...and she got upset.

She then did some things over the next few weeks I won't even talk about to dignify how assinine she became, but thats when i turned my one little office (of my own) and grew it into quadruple its size and 10 employees over the next 2 years of time.
