Hey Guys, Just to let you know "I WROTE THAT BLOG POST!" Yes indeed Google bans people that have "massive amounts of Stumble traffic" and people that use "stumble as main source of traffic" and I underlined that facts. I'm backing up my claim by stating the "invalid impressions fraud" which is one very serious problem for many advertisers and therefore if "advertiser has lower than 0.05% CTR their ads will be automatically suspended" and therefore that can be harmful to some .... I'm kind'a sorry that I don't remember which thread I was reading here in the DP, but I remember clearly that few people DID GET BANNED and they explained the same symptoms and that's the main reason why I wrote that blog post. Here is one that I just found: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=381830 this one http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=356183 also http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=382050 and this one http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=369595 They all state the invalid impressions issue ... Make some investigation and you'll see.... Cheers, Venetsian. P.S. I forgot to mention that it does vary from one AdSense guy to another and who know on which side of the bed they woke up, so indeed, don't get panicked over this issue. As far as I know that's only isolated incidents.....
so a bunch of dpreview posts are your source of information? lol "Don't remove the AdSense code from your site just because it has a lower CTR - it may be one of your best converting sites." http://adsense.blogspot.com/2005/10/facts-about-smart-pricing.html
i just hope that they don't ban ppl for low ctr coz on forums the ctr is really low, and if its true i will have to look for an alternative instead of putting adsense on my new forum
I think that blogger is ignorant and just trying to scare people. However, you can probably block SU traffic by checking the referring site and diverting SU traffic to a non-AdSense page. But if Google has a problem with it, then they should tell us so that we take action. Until then, everything is just nonsense and that blogger probably wrote the SU vs AdSense article as linkbait.
Oh, I saw this post after I replied to the other guy. That said, can you show us detailed traffic stats from a site that has been banned for low CTR and traffic mostly from SU? If it happens so often then there must be a myriad of webmasters willing to come forward with the evidence. No?
CTR is not the main thing on which they ban you they would ban your when your start gettin invalid clicks and also when you start clicking your own clicks.
