Anybody here testing Link-Vault? It is similar to the Co-Op, but links are more permanent. Any pros or cons versus using the Co-op?

Must you insist on placing a referral link there?

Link Vault is almost identical to the Co-op in every way...

Not much else to say other than that.

Similar to the Co-Op, but they say links are more permanent and don't rotate.

You'd violate the Digitalpoint Co-Op TOS by putting them on the same site, so don't do that. But I was wondering if anybody had tested it on other sites and had any comments or concerns with it.

Took out the referral link. I'm not an expert. Just want to find out more.

I have reviewed link vault and rate it, there are many features that meet my seo needs

    - permanent links
    - fair way of gaining and spending weight (they call it vaultage, very cheesey)
    - referral system that gives extra features (a little different i guess)
    - No need to keep checking if your weight has gone to zero (sorry shawn, but true)
    - Easy to use GUI
    - Best of all, it is getting me great results in G.

Overall i'd say if you've got enough sites to use both then do, because DP is good for MSN and Yahoo and www.link-vault.com works for all 3 and looks to be a much more natural link building tool.

If you use both you will be banned by the Coop. You CAN'T have them on the same page

I couldn´t use the Coop because of the rule that it must be on every page of your site - or every page of a directory within your site. With LV you can add it to whatever pages you want and get vaultage per page. I´ve just started with LV so can´t comment on how well it will help. People here seem to very happy with the Coop and I feel a bit disappointed because it won´t work for me but at least LV offers an alternative.

I see being able to pick and choose what page to put it on as a negative.

Part of what I have liked about the Coop as an advertising network is that people can't just show your ads that they and their visitors don't care about (or maybe the SE's for that Matter)

I realize how it is an advantage for those that can't put ads on every page but in general it is much better for those in the program to have that requirement.

I´m sorry, I´m not following you? Did you mean show your ads on pages that nobody cares about?

If so, I suppose that is true but the LV system rewards high PR links with more ´vaultage´so it is in the webmasters best interests to use his best pages.

Anyway, I have no way of knowing if LV will work for me or not yet. I´ve never been involved in any network like this. :)

When I said to use both if you have enough sites, I meant to use DP on one site and LV on the other. From what I can see LV doesn't have any restrictions about using other networks.
