    Hello,
I have recently joined DP forums and it looks like a great place for web business discussions but I am confused about something. I understand I need to receive a couple of *likes before I can add my homepage to my profile. I am not certain what this means though. I can see a bar at the top of every page with twitter and facebook icons -is the facebook like button what it refers to? Does this mean I need a FB account to receive those likes on DP? And also what *content do I have to post that can receive a like? I have to start a new thread or post an article somewhere?

Thanks I didn't notice it there. Had only read the FAQ. I understand why I couldn't see like button at the posts now :)

A word to the wise, don't get too comfortable when you get your required 3 likes. I advise newbies to go for at least 5. Sometimes threads will get deleted that may have your likes on them, and also individual posts get deleted and you can lose your likes this way.
I have lost 5 likes in the last few days. One of my removed posts had 4 likes on it, I think it got reported by a disgruntled member that I was making fun of.

Thanks for the advice. Yes sometimes people can be a little over sensitive. I will make a special effort to stay on everyone's good side.
