Hi all, My objective is here to discuss the Latest Search Engine Technolgy LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). It is a one of the latest and crucial technology for search engine and help the search engine to retrive the data of web site and present the result in a LSI based technolgy. Basic Infomation about LSI 1) Wikipedia 2) http://lsa.colorado.edu/ 3) Web Semantics: What do we mean by 'Semantic Web'? 4) Latent Semantic Analysis vs. Theming 5) Google Latent Semantic Indexing 6) Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI): What it is, how it works and what it means _
I find it kinda' hard to understand that nobody else is talking about LSI here at this forum. I have been thinking about posting something about it but haven't got my thumb out until I saw this post. LSI is already implemented and I think that this is the reason for most of the sites disappearing in the SERP's. I read about LSI a while back and decided to have a look at one of my web sites that took a hard hit on June 27th. I implemented some LSI techniques they way I understand it and the site is back where it used to be, even a little bit better. Right now I am working on all other sites hoping that it'll help them too to climb back in SERP's.
Its time to work with open eye Need to check all latest technology before start work and also update of that technology ...
I have known about the LSI for a couple of months now. I have studied it, have some testing of web pages to maximize the outcome. Still amazes me that it is just you and me on this thread but hey, that's good. The fewer that knows about it, the better our rankings
In a couple months to a year this search engine will fade into obscurity like the 900 or so other 'new' search engines.
LSI is not a specific search engine - it is an indexing technique applied to search results by various search engines (Including being used by Google) I have heard of it, and read a few things about it. In effect it is bringing copywriting to the forefront of content websites rather than pure SEO since it is being incorporated into ranking algorithms to determine relevancy ... common mispellings of words could become a thing of the past (or flagged as spam/low quality source - even with a single occurance). It is about paying attention to the content detail of a page and using keywords and phrases in the correct context and in an approriate page... overall, SEO is being extended and meshed with copywriting. SEO by itself will only have a small affect, the same with copywriting - however, copywriting will have a bigger affect on a per page basis while SEO can be applied on a per site basis. Given that, since Google can rank all pages individually, good utilization of LSI could mean specific pages of a site ranking well for given keywords while most of the site is nowhere. If applied throughout a site, then a much greate amount of keywords could be targeted efficiently. Edited: just added this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=79187 (it has been discussed a few times but I never checked all previous post, just this one from 139 days ago - doing a search for LSI should bring up all the related previous dicussions).
None of this is really new. Maybe that's why you have the feeling that there aren't a lot of people talking about it.
I agree. Stop messing around with link schemes and three-way linking arrangements and just go after relevance.
