Just a quick question about my account

Hello,

Just a quick question and hoping a mod is available to answer this. I couldnt find a way to contact them apart from on twitter so thought this would be the best way.

I have been a member for years but havent used this forum for the last few years. I am now wanting to post some requests in the contest section for things I would like doing but it is saying that I have unsufficient privalages

Does anybody know why this might be?

You will get the privilege in just no time. Just relax and smile.
The system need more times to update 'the stuffs' such as 'likes' and trophy points (you have zero trophy points, in next update it would not going to be zero again).

To post contest, you just need three likes. You already had 41 likes so there would be no problem at all.
If you wonder how you get 41 likes, it comes from the conversion of your 'past contribution'.
You would be able to post contest in the next system update. It would take about 10 minutes to couple of hours. Usually it takes only one hour.
