Dear mods and other dp members, I have noticed a trend here at dp where sellers ask for itraders the moment deal is done or sometimes even before the deal is done. Every deal has two parts - Buyer and Seller. The moment buyer pays 100% promptly and in case of digital products that is usually the case, it is seller's responsibility to give him/her +ve itrader and should not be contingent on buyer giving seller +ve rating. In this case, buyer has already performed on his part i.e. payment 100% without even receiving product. Now seller has to give product and then buyer has to review it. I have encountered atleast couple of situations here where I was not given itrader till I first gave them. This is not fair for buyer. Mods and DP members should report these types of seller. Essentially itrader is more important for sellers but it should not be contingent on buyers giving them itrader first. Let me know your views. thanks, Sid
I tend to agree with your view, but would not make an hard and fast rule on it. If the buyer paid promptly, they deserve good iTrader. Some people just forget to give iTrader. I suppose that is what has happened to me in the past.
Why worry at this late date? Itrader is being phased out. See http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1942652.
