there is an user that is using vulgar language in this thread, i have reported him and nothing now he is back wanting to post penis pictures it seems reporting has no consequences so im posting it here, maybe some mods will get their act together calling someone an idiot 4 times is fine it seems https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/godaddy-stole-my-domain.2773000/#post-19290608 wanting to post penis pictures is also fine it seems https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/godaddy-stole-my-domain.2773000/#post-19291053 user https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/netstar.70893/
Wow, really? I saw this thread AFTER closing your report. It was closed within EIGHT minutes and you complain about the lack of moderation? From the timestamp on this thread it appears that you posted as soon as you'd made the report, not even giving us time to respond. I'll concede that @NetStar has been a little rough but you'd do well to get over yourself and actually take on board the points he makes.
Or maybe you've never moderated a forum before. People I "follow" are typically problem users rather than friends. Shall I follow you?
just do your thing good to know what is "little rough" i'm amazed that this kind of language is allowed on this forum now that you saw my post i will edit it, i don't use this kind of language, was just demonstrating a point
I have been asked for whatever reason to moderate on various sites. A few years ago I did on a French language site. At first I found it time consuming but got into a routine that worked. I attempted to balance moderation with freedom of speech. Not an easy task and soon learnt that I was not cut out for the job. You see I am unable to be unbiased, I had my preferences and those I disliked. So my hat goes off to mods......not an easy job to be sure. I believe to be fair, we ought to cut them some slack.
Calling someone "idiot" is quite common on a tech-forum. Because people ARE idiots. More often than not. That being said, blowing up because something which is your own fault (the loss of the domain in the original thread) and calling reputable companies frauds and scams are at best stupid, at worst exactly what NetStar said. BTW, calling someone "idiot" isn't rough. Seriously. If you think so, I definitely think you should get a bit thicker skin before trying to venture out on the big open Internet again.
