I have no clue... I have a porn website but I do not want to get in trouble for embedding video from other website. I was thinking I thought all porn video online has to be in compliance with the 2257 code. I was referring to Xvideos.com. After looking at the website I do not see 2257 code any where I notice that they host all the video and offer other website to embed there video onto there website. How is this website still running and not getting in trouble for this? Is it okay to embed video from them? Or could it be a possibility I could get in trouble for having the videos on my site with out the 2257 because I'm not hosting them I'm just embedding them.
There are a lot of conflicting opinions in this area, so you won't be getting a solid answer from anyone.
Most of the sites do the same thing.. The basic rule is: Do it until someone stops you.. When they do then start thinking other ways but till then i think u ll be ok..
It is not illegal. But regarding the "porn" issue, I do not know if you can obtain the licensing rights. But for other content (like movies/tv/videos that arent porn related) here is some general info. You may contact companies via their websites, and see if they offer "limited licensing" for embedding porn movies/videos through an affiliate/publisher program. I am sure some have it. You just have to look. For example www.tube8.com offers movies/videos uploaded by Users (amateur), and If i remember correctly they offer embed code for people like you to embed the videos/movies. You can unlock and download for $1, or join up and become a premium member. Something you may want to look into. All the videos are free and full-length. [edit] Nix that. Sorry. There seems to be alot of posts regarding this kind of issue. HULU movies/tv (example of 'regular" streaming/embedding licensing rights) You can stream movies and tv episodes legally, and obtain a free license to do so. In my case I stream movies and tv episodes/videos. I have a limited license from HULU to do so. HULU provides the licensing free, and also the embed code, as well as the streaming players. For more info on how to set it up, and legally stream videos/movies/tv see: Post #14 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1738934
If the site in question allows you to embed videos by providing the embed code, its probably a sign that its allowed by their TOS. However as per the legality of the videos themselves, the site you are embedding from might have used the videos without permission so check on that.
When I first read your post I was thinking they were probably using offshore hosting. Thats how sites like thepiratebay.org stay up and running even though they are breaking every copywright infringment policy ever written....
this is depend on ur location if your country allowed porn then that is legal. and if ur country not allowed porn that is ileegal
