    Hi all,

    I have one PR6 directory and one PR5.

    I was just wondering if other directories owners want to join forces and offer one package for submitting sites.

    Something like pay $xx and get listed in:
    * Directory a
    * Directory b
    * Directory c
    and so on...

    We will have to find a way to make it work, but first I want to check if there is an interest.

    anyone?

    This is a good idea.

    I would start with just a partnership between 2 directory owners to keep things simple and manageble.

    The biggest potential problem I see with this idea is the difference in submission guidelines between directories. For example we require business sites clearly display trading address, phone number and offer an online contact method. As such we may not accept sites that others would.

    I would imagine cooperating directories would need to standardise their policies by probably by taking the most restrictive parts from each.

    well, I'm in, include my directory in your offer, http://www.links-collector.com, PR4, strong, almost one year old, high traffic, almost 1000 visitors/day.
    I will add all the featured links you tell me as long as I get $10/link. (normal price $13)

    well, I suppose he's selling the links and then is sending us an e-mail to add the links, and the $$ off course. at least this is how I see it.

    yes it is not easy to do...

    the way I see it is that each directory will have a 'value package' something like for $xx you will get 4 PR6 5 PR5 3 PR 4 etc... once someone order you send an email to the group to add the link, and send the money.

    what do you think?

    Do you think your PR 6 directory has any value, your directory on this domain (integralcom.com) is not even cached.

    yea, I have a contract with them for one year (few more months to go), never made one sale but I'm sure I've sent them loads of traffic.
    it is good to start a directory, gives you some starting traffic, but after that, kind of useless.

    Is there any limit for directories to get into the list? Not a bad concept--its sort of directories' association or union. I think collective efforts will yield good results for all.:D

    I am also in with you

    We can also offer them link on some free directories the members are having

    But we need to have proper software for it for keeping our transaction records

    Also it should be in the lines of exactseek.com's offer!

    You might want to use a CMS scripts as a central area where every participant gets an adminisrative rights and will probably would need a head treasurer (I nominate God) to do all the checks and balances. Then split the pot.

    Will probably also reserve some funds for Advertisement and Marketing.

    If you are selling regular links for $10 now, do not expect to get that. Think of how Costco or Walmart buys it's goods. They buy in large amount (bulk) and resells it cheaper than what a reseller would. So if Kraft Macorroni and Cheese are normally sold by the maker to the retailer for $1.50, they probably sell it to Costco for $.45 cents and Costco would then sell it to the club member for $1.15 in bulk amount, this is great for consumer, but bad for the retailer who sells it at a full price of $1.50. And in some ways, this could work for this type of plan aslong as greed doesn't get in away, plan could work.

    Remember, parts of the money will need to go to the Advertisement and Marketing, you just can't link to your directory with the saying "Get linked to 30 other quality directories for $49.95!!!"

    I don't know, thats what I was thinking.

    This type of matrix has been around a long time and is done by others that are established in this niche marketing concept

    I was thinking of something similar and to really give the submitter a benifit I thought of doing one submission and having that automatically submit to every directory in the network.

    So if they buy the 20 featured link package they just make one submission and it automatically submits the information to all 20 directories (would work best if all were using phpld I guess). This could be achieved at first with just a simple submit form and then emailing all the directories the submission.

    You could even start this up with a Wordpress blog and maybe have a contact form mod that sends emails to all the directory owners. I think the biggest benifit an arangement like this would be for selling bulk submissions to SEO and Link Building companies. So they could buy 50 featured submissions at a time for 30% off or whatever and then.

    I think you should try and start out small, with 5 owners with 2 directories each and build it from there.

    I have 2 PR5 paid directories that I would try this with.

    This what I am going to do:
    I will set up a new page on my directories list with multiply submission package.

    This package will have 5 directories and will offer 40% discount. I will add my PR5 directory for it (link2share.com) so there are 4 spots available.

    So anyone who wants to add his directory to this package please send me a message with your directory link + price for regular submission.

    Requirement:
    PR4 + directory
    Willing to offer 40% discount (this is in order to make this package attractive)
