Infraction received: Thread Started In Wrong Category!

    Hi,
    I hate infractions, I hate seeing red color whenever i open my user control panel.
    Some days ago, I found my site is shown in google search result as authority site and made a celebrating thread in google forum (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=3523841#post3523841), because the term "google authority site" is directly related to Google only. Also, I wanted to get feedbacks forum DP members because I'm really confused about it.
    My thread was removed to Reviews forum with infraction "Thread Started In Wrong Category", what i think is not appropriate.
    One user said my don't complain, or the hammer will fall again :( .
    But I still want to let you know, because I REALLY HATE INFRACTIONS :p .

    The thread was related to you looking for reviews/congratulations on your web site which has nothing to do with Google. This infraction should serve as a reminder to be careful where you post. Don't take it too hard :)

    Hint: Take the infraction. Forget about it. Move on.

    Stressing and/or whining about it will just attract more infractions or a lot of abuse from the fryman mentality at DigitalPoint.

    Never mention this again. Seriously. You'll thank me for saying this one day.

    Have you read the description of the Google category? It states:

    THE search engine. This is for discussion about Google as a company, not for discussion of individual sites (SEO, PageRank for a site or "why a site ranks where it does" questions) or Google search results.

    Minstrel is correct. Move on and learn as you go.

    Is this another thread about this? My my my. I think Shawn should install a big splash image when you log in to DP each day stating:

    DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT INFRACTIONS

    OK, guys.
    I wanted to follow sugesstion "don't complain" also. But every day seeing this makes me bad :mad: . So, I'm here :D .
    As I said, I wanted to have feedbacks from DPers to help me understand this matter also. This is thread not only for congratulations, but good for discussion.
    Anyway, thanks for attention.
    P/S: Complaining does sometimes help, I am feeling better now, even I received one more infraction :D .

    DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT INFRACTIONS Share with Cheap SEO Services :rolleyes:;)

    There should be an option to transfer your infraction to CSS :D

    Then you complain again and get 1 more!

    Like this you might get banned :eek: ;)

    vnviews--you can minimize it in your user CP so you don't have to look at it every time, it will just surprise you when you do come across it, like in your own profile. Just click the little arrow in the corner of the infractions box and forget it. Learn to read the little box that you checked before starting threads.
