I would like to see more traffic

I am trying to find ways to attain more traffic outside of web 2.0 efforts. I have been marketing our website for one year and am seeing a lowly 200 uniques a day and 700-1000 pageviews a day. I know that I have some serious javascript bloat issues that I am trying to work out, but in the meantime would like to know how some of you are getting 4000-5000 uniques a day.

    Thanks!!!
    Dan

    p.s. My website is www.UtahLuxury.com

One way is to do some research on what other terms people are typing into search queries other than the words you are currently targeting.

From what I can tell you tried to use Google Adwords to target the keyword luxury am I correct?

That word is far to broad. You need to target more long and short tail keyword phrases.

You have to find out what people are typing in the engines to find out information about what you are selling or your web site topic.

Then you make pages targeting those keyword phrases. You might be surprised how quickly your new pages land top organic search rankings when you do this.

I'm not saying to make an effort to take down the big keyword phrases but they often have so much competition you will never get first page results.

You have to find the phrases that get typed in often but have weak competition and you will see a dramatic change in daily visitors.

There are many other methods but this is one of my favorite. Move in where there is no competition first. Then take on the bigger battles. Learning how to take over these low competition niche's helps you learn tactics to take on the big boys too.

Check out this DP thread if you want to pay a small amount to let me help you.

    Low Competition Keyword Phrase Lists

make your description meta tag more enticing as this is what people see on most search engines listings...you want them to click through to your site.

Content first....taking a look at your code, the "content" is buried way down in there...you may need to change your template (wordpress?) to accomplish this.

You may not have enough "content" on your main pages....the bots look at those pages and see mostly the same things...all of the header stuff, sidebar stuff and footer stuff.

Have you tried article submissions? Press releases?

Much appreciated. I have been trying to find linking sites. I have also been trying to workout longer tail terms outside of Luxury (I know this one to be hammered). I have not yet sent any press releases or submitted articles so I will give those a try. So thanks a lot for the help.

By the way copper12 why even post something that you have to say duh to? You didn't do anything but make yourself look like someone that people shouldn't work with.

Now ask me if I care?

    You asked a stupid question.

On top of that, you have been at it for a year, and you STILL have to ask?

Sorry to be so blunt, and hard, but, again, advertise. It's how they did it.

You should know this by now.

In that case let me clarify.

I am not going to advertise. What other ways can I find results?

Now since I have already had good offers of information on this, I will pursue those.

    Thanks again.
