I am kind of having a bit of a problem right now with my brain trying to comprehend ways to market my freebie-niche blog. I am looking for a few people to give me some advice exactly on how to promote and advertise a blog. I've done it before but that was mainly search engine submission and directory submissions. I rather take this one a little bit more serious to the point where I'm getting returned visitors. Right now, I know for sure I am not putting out good content and am working on changing that so I doubt this week will see MUCH action as my first week did, but its for the best so I can re-create my content strategy. Anyway, what would YOU recommend for me to advertise my blog in? How should I market it? Any and ALL advice is appreciated...
Comment on other blogs in your niche. You will get good traffic and backlinks, especially if your comment is first.
Baby Boy, You should take advantage of DP's RSS blog feature, found in your User CP. Your most recent blog entry will be displayed under your username. It's really useful for building backlinks as the link will be included in every post you make (including your signature), and traffic from it is pretty decent too. As mentioned in this thread I'd receive around 20 uniques a day from an average of 10 posts a day on DP. All the best, Liam
yea i agree... I blogged about my good traffic stats from DigitalPoint Other than that, comment like crazy..
Don't forget to network around, become friends with other bloggers in the similar niche and maybe they'll plugin about you in their blog.
I'm no blog guru but I made a wordpress blog 2 months ago about forex and I made about 10 new blogs the first 20 days. I also added 3 plug in and they where google sitemap, all in one seo and autoping. And now I don't even do more blogs but still I'm getting traffic everyday and have got 13 members By the way this is all SE traffic I'm getting. So I would recommend you would start with using wordpress, fill it with good plugins and write your OWN blogs so your content is unique... Best regards,
