    Hey guys.

    I run and own http://www.qualitysheetmusic.com.

When it first started, I started off earning like 40-50 cents a day.

I bought 100 000 hits for pretty cheap (like $10) and now Im getting like $7+ a day. However, I want to earn more.

Any suggestions? Look at my site and my ad placement :) thanks guys.

Get 100,000 HIGH QUALITY hits. Odds are any time you pay some low amount for a ton of visitors, it's poor quality, ie visitors finding your site from spam, pop-ups....

I would try to place an ad in the content section of you page. For example, between the "Welcome to QualitySheetMusic.com" and "Why register" Boxes, place an ad.

i had the same problem. to prevent this, i added a little link to remove adsense from the site with a nice explanation like: "if you think you will never ever find something interesting in ads, just click here" etc.

guess what? my ctr increased, because my impressions decreased. also seems like my visitors click more often now.

i asked google about this before implementing, and they say that this is perfectly ok on my position. (don't get my word for it, they reviewed my site and explanations. ask g for yourself.)

This is off topic but...your little graphic of violin and book weighs 33k.

Never just resize an image with html width and height. Do it with an image editing program.

That image should weigh something like 4 or 5k ...your page will load faster and your visitors wont have to wait so much.

    Case in point....

7K. Screenshot images work great at shrinking them! I'm not on dial-up, but your dial-up users will quietly thank you for it.

    Hi diddy

    Move top ads under:

    "How to Contribute:
To contribute to this site it would be greatly appreciated if each member took the time to upload some of their own files and music to send to us via the upload section on the left navigation bar. Once we receive you email we will revise the content and decide whether it is appropriate for the site. Another way to contribute to the site's production is to refer friends and family that are interested in music. As a thank you we will send you a montly newsletter containing up to date sheet music files and exclusive material for contributing members. Thank you for your support and keeping this site alive."

And match the font size and font type of the articles with ads, change the url of the ads in the black (blue). Experiment with quanty of ads per block.

Will you mail me (or post here) where you bought that 100.000 traffic, and what the ROI and CTR was for that sort of traffic? What are your daily impresions/cliks/earnings?

    Thanks!

Where did you buy this 100,000 hits for $10 only it's very cheap... and if you can only position your ad well this is really a good money.

i just set a cookie for those clicking "disable ads" link, and never show ads to them for 1-2 days.

    - only 10% of the users are clicking on the "disable ads" link. I thought everyone is going to disable them.
    - not only my ctr, but also number of clicks has also increased. seems like people tend to click on ads after a period of no ads. Maybe ads seem more attractive?

but i'm still testing it, enabling and disabling this option from time to time.

Hey diddy! Nice template. Very clear position of blocks. I can sugest to place 3xx X 2xx quad ad. Works by far best. Worst placements are skyscrapers.

Other thing, from my professional side: remove background with horisontal
    lines.

Also, if you plan that your site will be adsense oriented, i agre - make red
descriptions. Lets visitors have need to click on ads.

    good luck!

If you have a low ctr your content is probably too good. Make sure to make your content worse so people won't want to use your website and they want to escape like they are stuck on Alacatraz Island.

    ;)
