How can one have 50,000+ different ads for say different music artists, song titles, etc without having to write each add individually for each keyword? I'm guessing their is some way to do it dynamically via the adwords API? If so, where is it documented?

DKI takes you part of the way there, but Ferrarislave may be thinking about actual different copy within the description involving multiple keywords. Artist Keyword, Song Keyword, Album Keyword, etc. Since you can upload from a spreadsheet, wouldn't you just want to do this outside of AdWords. Write your own script and dump it into Excel, bypassing API altogether...?

I have good keyword lists, i was just wondering how people insert the keywords into each ad like:

    keyword ringtones
    hottest keyword ringtones
    keyword best ringtones

This link may provide some advanced info on DKI.

    http://www.yourseoplan.com/dynamic-keyword-insertion.html

I'm not aware of any way to split copy and keywords like this. For instance in your example on the second line

    Hot Keyword Ringtones
    or
    Hot Keyword Clothing

The G wouldn't know which term in the search query was the celebrity and which was the keyword. Unless there G implemented something that would allow you to specify WHICH term in the query we were talking about. Like {keyword1:} {keyword2:}.

    Any ideas?

It sounds like you should pick ONE dynamic search term (Any Celebrity) and write one ad in excel with the other search (Ringtone) term and then auto populate the ad copy for a few hundred more (Clothing, Perfume, lyrics, etc.). or Visa Versa.

First you need to consider if you have a massive advertising budget, because if you are thinking of lots of ads you are going to need thousands if not tens of thousands as a minimum

Generally I would not advise what you are thinking of doing

Adwords generally is very good at providing traffic to your site, but it rarely converts to sales, unless you really know what you are doing

Alot of fine tuning of ads is required and other formatting in your ad copy to actually make Adwords sell for you. To try and do that in a bulk way is recepie for disaster, unless its a case of you just want traffic and have the money to pay for it. In this latter case then maybe, but I wouldnt count on it

Sorry - did I misunderstand you here? Would you, for example, want the advert for the Beatles to read:

    Beatles Ringtones
    Hottest Beatles Ringtones
    Beatles Best Ringtones

    ?

If so, then DKI can do this. If not, how would you want the advert to appear?
