How old is the co-op

I have a co-worker that I'm trying to convince that the co-op is a good thing. He's trying to tell me it isn't "mature enough" to warrant any consideration. I beg to differ, but need some amo. I tried digging, but could find when the co-op was started. Shawn? (or anyone else)

What does age of the network have to do with it??

With this kind of thinking, we would still be riding horses.

    thanks shawn!

And I agree, yfs1. He also believes that IE is the better browser because Microsoft sets the standards, not W3C (and my argument is "who cares, the search engines use w3c guidelines"). Should give you an idea of what I'm up against.

Bahahahaha... now that is funny (IE being a better browser). If it supported PNG images and CSS properly it would be at least a good browser maybe.

Show your co-working this chart. Make sure he focuses on the right side that is highlighted yellow.

Not familiar with the keyword tool yet (I know, I know). I assume that is the bar graph for the keyword ranking?

It's a single kw with almost 900k results. I'm at #5 this morning. I have about 6 different examples I could show that have from the 600-700's to 1st page in the SERP's in less than 30 days.

I would also like to believe that all of my other hard work over the last 1 1/2 years had something to do with it :)

    Nicely done. Congrats.

I passed on your graph and he seems very impressed. I have final say in the matter, so we will be adopting the co-op for internal use (already started using it for my own sites last week), it helps to have him onboard as we implement it.

Thanks for your help, both you and Shawn. It's good to hear success stories like this to let me know I'm on the right track.

Just curious....how much weight did you use to get #5 with a single keyword?

Total weight is around 22.5k. The number of ads, anchor text and weight distribution has varried/evolved over the last couple of weeks. I currently have 4 ads with about 40% targeting this single kw at my home page.

This thread will give a little more back ground:

That's cool. I ask because I have been using the coop for a few weeks now, and while my weight is only 2100, I have seen NOTHING...not 1 hit, not one improvement on my keywords....nothing. How long does this thing take? just curious...............

I started at 24k, but only two days into it. Still waiting to see ranking improvement.

With 2100 wieght, I wouldn't go for a too ambitious KW.

Probably better off targeting some multi word phrases with less competition.
