Co-Op Success Story!

My site has been up for a little over 2 years now. I ranked on the first page for a lot of my important keywords (most top 5) until the "florida" update when everything got whacked big time. Since then I have been working on off/on page optimization. Adding unique content, IBL's... everything we talk about every day on this forum and others. Nothing seemed to work. And I mean nothing.

    Until I joined the Co-Op!

Can you tell when I joined? These charts show results from DP's tool. Using Mcdars tool this morning http://www.mcdar.net/q-check/datatool.asp I'm showing several datacenters now showing me in the top 3 for the three kw's I have targeted in the co-op.

Here's to hoping that these SERP's propogate though the system and stick!

CONGRATS! I think DP's tool is helping out significantly but give yourself a little more credit - ITS ABOUT DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT. You're a great example of not giving up, having patience, and taking the time to implement as many SEO startegies as possible. Congrats again!

    cheers

How much weight did you point, and for how long? How many results does Google return for the term

    1) "widgets" - 1mil results - 50% weight (target home page)
    2) "widget covers" - 250k results - 33.3% weight (target internal page 1)

Congratulations, and thanks. This is good news for you, and everyone else on the coop as well. It's also very instructive for me. I have some tweaking to do to my coop ads.

Cool! My problem is that seemingly no matter how much weight I fling at certain terms they continue their see-sawing between position 8 and 25 for the past 6 months. I had a bunch of other non-Coop links pointed too before I joined and nothing seems to have worked in breaking the stagnation or stopping the "8-25" fluctuation. The terms have between 7 and 9 million results and I've had about 60k pointing to each of them for a few weeks.

I decided to eventually stop and concentrate on other terms with less weight on each, especially after hearing of the Seraphim and Ebay pages which disappeared from the index after a few months of high-weight pointing to them

Before the Co-Op my home page was ranking (low but ranking) for the kw's used in ads #2 and #3. The target pages are now ranking (much higher than the home page ever did). Of course these internal pages are optimized for those kw's.

Will it stick? Who knows. I plan to enjoy it while it lasts. :)
