How many links is the maximum

    How many links is the maximum for a page to remain SEO friendly as per google ? and remain a counting backlink ?

    I think it is maximum of 100 outgoing links

    but I would not recommend you 100 it should be less than 50 for best results

    as too much outgoing results would decrease the PR of your site

    Yep.... You're correct. A page should be minimum of 100 outbound links. I have placed 150 links in my link page (PR-2). I have biffercated the link page into two and placed 75 links per page. My PR increased to "3".:)

    I don't think there is a maximum amount of links on a page. For user-friendliness though, DMOZ had the guideline that any category with more than 20 links was eligible for a sub-category. For directories and links-pages I feel that is probably a good guideline as well. And those directories that just list pages alphabetically on 10+ pages - ignore them. Where possible, split things up by subject.

    PR does not only relay on outgoing links...also in quality content or original content..
