I would keep using it, if you are using iframes then it shouldn't be that noticable especially if the site doesn't look to odd with an ad missing here and there.

And this morning, we're showing IPOD ads for computer parts and Nintendo Wii.

And we're showing Nintendo Wii ads for Dell Servers.

These ads aren't untargeted. They're only off by a page or niche or so...

I think we should refer to them as "semi-targeted".

I'm getting the same ads plus some for PS3 for keywords like TAROT and OCCULT, so I think it's more then just a niche or page off.

Then again, they are not wasting enough resources on my little site...

ccano, I have good news for you. The "Teddy Bear Effect" is very rare and is a sign that you are an ultra-ultimate-platinum-gold-super-duper AuctionAds publisher.

Or maybe it means we don't have enough traffic to get love from the 30%+ servers.

Well, I ran nearly 600 impressions from one site at AA today, got 3 clicks, when I normally run around 2~3 % CTR.

Still pushing those Ebay Ipods strong though! I can smell another zero earning day.

My clicks are so down its not funny.... I was up at about 200 clicks per day now there at about 70.... dunno whats going on but its only since AA started having issues. To coincide with that my earnings are also down... as expected.

My clicks have been way down too.

I get power drills, lady handbags, ipods, etc on my digital camera sites.

I bet my visitors aren't impressed.

When the ads are spot on though, the click-through rates are through the roof.

AA is an excellent monetization method, and I'm grateful to Shoe for introducing it, allowing players who aren't in the US (like me) to get into the eBay game.

I'll definitely wait patiently until ad targeting is 100%, which I'm sure it will be one day, hopefully soon.

I'm sick of the power drills and car tires etc as well, but I'm with you. These are growing pains and AA works really well for my site, so I'm riding it out too.

I've got to agree with those sentiments - I saw someone on here defending AA, using the argument that they have so many users that downtime is inevitable. The professional approach would be to stop new signups, get stable & relevant and move on.

Relevance is the main killer for me but downtime is a close second.

What are you separating your keywords with?

Diddle your keywords. I saw I was supposed to use the " ; " but was getting iPod ads so I changed it out to a " , " and am back on target...

I've beat up on AuctionAds a bit, but you kinda gotta feel bad about how they have this explosive growth (SUCCESS!!!) and can't manage it.

I'm pretty sure if Shoe had any hair, he would pull it out.

I only use one keyword at the moment to try and keep the ads relevant but even that doesn't work.
Threre is a glimmer of light though .... relevant ads are showing up for periods.

The only site where I haven't removed AA has only one keyword per page, and it isn't anything related to ipods, purses, stuffed animals or that Xtreme winch thing that seems to show up so often.

Try a second keyword ... and use a comma rather then a semicolon.

If it works YAY, if not, then I guess my site is the only one not broken (which by the way was broken the last two days)

    [edit]
On two of my pages with maybe 2 impressions a day have this:

auctionads_ad_kw = "clover; irish"; == ipod and Wii ads.
auctionads_ad_kw = "magick, occult, pagan "; = an ad for a book of witch stories
