Suggestion Hide bidder username in auction thread

I would like to suggest to hide/rename the bidder username in auction thread.
This way the seller and the bidder will be protected by spammer who want to take advantage of the current bidder of that auction.
This approach has been implement in one of the popular domain/website marketplace out there.
They replace the bidder name to Bidder1, Bidder2 ..and so on..
Hope this can be implement too to DP forum auction forum.

    Thanks

I am not just speak for the bidder but for the seller.
Its unfortunate if some bidder with potential winner being offered by a spammer with similar service/product with lower price, in the end the bidder left the auction. and some cases the winning bidder even not paid/respond to the site completion..

I came across to this matter because I see even the #1 domain/website marketplace(which is free) implement hide/rename all bidder/members.

It doesn't seem like a good idea to hide the seller. If I was buying something, I sure would want to know who I was buying from so I could see their history.

if you joined the #1 domain/website marketplace then you should know what I means. The hide/rename only appear to public. not to the self bidder nor seller.
which means bidder still can see their username but not others bidder on the same auction. and seller still can see all the bidder username.
Only public see them as a dummy bidder name(rename to bidder1, bidder2, ect..)..

As I said, if bidders want to do that, they already can if they are premium members.

Yep... although the first time someone reported you for it, your account would be banned for spamming. :)

Either way, a buyer can't "undo" a bid anyway... once they make a bid, they are bound to it.

talking about buyer who win the bid, what if they refuse to paid?
they give a reason they that they want to cancel?
I just have one of this issue with one of my won auction.
What should I do if they still refuse to deal?

yes, my quote up there is dedicated to spammer.
somehow they can still leave some contact in PM so interest bidder still can contact them although their account has been banned.
and these spammer can send a Pm to all highest bidder, 1st ,2nd or 3rd highest bidder as long as they can get the bidder name and profile available.

A banned member can't send PMs... but correct. If the bidder does not want to make their bid private, they could of course be contacted by people (same as on eBay really).

Depends on who you ask. I'm sure eBay is #1 based in volume... Also, this is not just a domain/site marketplace (that's only a small part of it). No clue what site you are referring to, but why would we want to do everything exactly like someone else? Should we also start charging money just because other sites do?

You can just google the terms that I wrote above which is #1 domain and website marketplace, they should be at the top SERP..
I see they provide a better approach in deliver their services to its members (for both seller and buyer) in many ways. Does it wrong if we copying the good side of someone else?
Its for the good sake of the community here too..
and if you think by charging more money is better for the members here you can do so (that if you think 'charging money' is the bright side of other sites to copy with).
