Has anyone seen the new ad links format?

They look good but my current adlink CTR is very high, and I can't have 2 adlinks per page.

Has anyone asked Google if we can do what was suggested with the images?
Also how do you make the images match the word below it?

Are you sure that these are doubleclick ads, and can you explain to me how double click ads works ?

I cant find any information on adsense.

Does this mean that the same user has to click the same ad twice or what ?

They have to click the keyword then click on a result for you to be credited.

So that means that when a user clicks on my google ad, he is taken to the target page, and then he needs to click on somehing on that page aswell for me to get paid from google?

No it means that he clicks on a keyword e.g "telescope". He is then taken to a page that displays ads for the "Telescope" keyword, and if he then clicks on an ad you are paid for that click.

One thing that I like about this new ad format is that it constantly reminds me what keywords on my page advertisers are targeting.

I believe this will turn out to be very useful information.

I've been using the adlinks vertical format on my menu next to my articles (see here: photography articles), and I've found the CTR to be quite good. I'm looking forward to trying some of the horizontal adlinks in the forum...

Can you use 2 different adlink formats on the same page? IE a vertical format and a horizontal format.

No. Unfortunately, still only one ad links unit per page is allowed

I emailed google with this site: http://hatethatfrog.desktopcreatures.com and they said:

As for matching images.. you just have to know what ads show on what pages.. the ads should not change that much... I have ads for personality tests on my personality test site and ads for ring tones on the above site.. A firend has a site where you submit photoshop images and he displays random stock photo images as most of his links are to sites like that.

    /EDIT

If in doubt.. put up the new ads with images on a hidden page (index2.html or something) and email the link to G, they reviewed and replied to my email in about 5 hours.

Whilst changing a few of my ad layouts I've just noticed that you can now get horizontal Adlinks. This is the first time I've seen it so thought I'd point it out in case it's not common knowledge yet (they could quite easily be mistaken for Co-op ads)

I fully agree! We need to have the best minds of this forum get together and determine the best off the shelf or custom written application so we can do away with sleep once and for all.

Just think of all the extra productivity. We might even be able to stay on top of the Google updates! ;)
