Grey rep

    Sometimes I get grey rep, not green or red, but grey. What is this means ? Thinking about comments along with it and overall behaviour I see it almost like green, but why grey ?

    Also how can I leave grey rep ? Just curious...

    It's either from a new user or it was a post in general chat, as rep doesn't count in there.

    Rep is generally grey in General chat and it's subsections, politics and religion/entertainment.

    Grey rep comes from those forums mentioned above and from newbies, just as a side note keep in mind that grey rep is mostly a sympathy recognition since it has not value toward increasing your overall reputation.
