It usually takes a while for sites to get a PR ranking. I already had it for six month like that. However the site ranked well on some issues.
This is very informative, thanks for doing this aaron_nimocks. However as this is written in April 2006, can an expert on sandbox do another thread like this? Or can aaron update it for us?
thank you for this topic. one of my site is down since november07. But for all keywords. its in g index, but 0.00 g traffic..:-/
wow nice FAQs.. i never knew what exactly sandbox was before reading this post. Thanks for giving me the idea of sandbox.
This is a great FAQ, and very well written by the few that went into detail and I will admit, I read the first 2 pages and this last one. My site is 6 months old and received a pr4 on the 5th month. I was ranking strong for keywords in my niche for about 3 weeks in March then dropped off the face of the Earth. I am still completely indexed and have incredible content in comparison with any of "same" kind of websites. I have the biggest of them all and hold the highest pr of all in my category. I dropped out on March 30th and to this have not come back at all for anything competitive. I was concerned, lost, and wondering what I did or didn't do. I can now sleep good not only knowing more about the sandbox but also with the percocet I got from my doctor today. I have great links and the about 6,000 more than anyone else I am competing against so my only hope now is that when I come out I am in the top 3. Thanks again for a great read gentlemen!
Like some of the other posters, I have a site that moves mysteriously up and down the search results on a daily basis. My site is 5 months old. Sometimes it appears at position #4 for one of my search terms and sometimes at position #31. It jumps around daily and sometimes it does not appear at all. I am hoping that eventually I stabilise on page 1.
the concept is good, and who knows, maybe the intention is also good, but the effect is still suck (sand box I mean)
Thanks one of my blog is in sand box and i am trying to recover this but how i can do this and its 3 months old domain suggest me any tip plz
A wise way to approach the sandbox would be to act as if Google doesn't exist for the first few months. Instead, focus on building traffic elsewhere. Build your links, build your trust, and build something useful. Then, when google comes around you'll see a nice boost, but it's not what your business is built on.
What It mean when I rate #4 in sandbox for a business key word? What It mean when I rate #1 in sandbox for my domain name? Is it normal?
I'm running a wedding site that the top keyword I'm getting traffic from is "indianboob" ??? not in my keyword list White or gray bar showing?
for me sandbox or google dance is still mystery, one of my site got sandbox every 2 weeks, the other sandbox after got huge traffic
Hi, Anyone, could you please check this thread out and reply back (or PM me immediately) with some solution to this? I would much appreciate help from senior members here. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=853584 I am very worried at that none of the keyword I optimized for makes my site appear in Google, also, even by trying "cutewriting" the main page doesnt appear on the top, every one of my page has gone down in Google. How could this have happened like this? Please reply not in this thread, but in the thread in the link, many thanks.
Good post - I think this is very real. I recently purchased an expensive keyword domain name and have some very good links with the correct anchor text pointing to the site. So far I have not moved past position 81. In position number 3 is a horrible looking site with 5 backlinks!
