Google PC's - just rumours or is it true?

There are rumours around that Larry will introduce the first Google PC or Google Box/Cube at the consumer electronics show coming friday - according to Los Angeles Times.

The british "guardian" speculates with prices at around $ 200.00.

Google is already in negotiations with Walmart and other retailers (L.A.Times)

    True are false?

Rumors, for now, I think anyways.

Developing a true operating system is someting that I believe Google is capable of, but not yet. To compete with Windows in OS will take years, if not decades. Just like MSN needs years to catch up to Google in search capability.

Google bought a company called Android Systems, in CA. Rumor is that they are developing a kick-arse cell phone OS. That would be a good area for them to move into. Full PC OS, not yet, I don't think so, anyways.

If it is true then Google is really preparing to bring the heat to Microsoft. 200 bucks is chump change. Man I've got to save some money and buy Google stock. The Analysts are saying it will go to $600 bucks!

Total speculation for now, I think. Just to correct, ONE analyst said a target of over $600 today. He's a respected analyst from Piper Jaffray, but I just want to clarify your statement - it's only one analyst. I'm bullish on GOOG, don't get me wrong, I just want people to keep their expectations reasonable. YPN is going to hurt their incredible growth, I just don't know how much.

Both of them are expert on their own field and they are very unique. None of them can beat each other. Google is the best seach engine, MSN can never beat Google unless they hire all those big head people working for Google. Same with Google, they can't beat Bill and his apprentice.
