My site is ranking very well on 64.233.167.104

I hope other datacenter also shows similar results. ;)

One of my sites has dropped out of other DCs completely. These two DCs are showing URLs that are around 6 months out of date, as supplemental, and still with no real URLs.

If this is a Google fix, it's not a very good one!

    No change for me.
At the end of March I lost all my Google Serp's for one of my blogs. Tonight on this blog, Googlebot has spidered again all my pages in one time !! What do it means?

Ive jumped to page 1 on all of the datacenters in mcdar. The first time I have managed to get on page 1 in google so Im over the moon. All this SEO work is paying off from total loss of index to page 1 in a couple of weeks!

    Even gone from 18th to 5th on 64.233.167.99 & 64.233.167.104

The one thing I dont get though is that mcdar shows me on first page on all datacenters. But if I go to www.google.co.uk and repeat the search it shows different results. How do I check the IP address of the google results Im looking at? Does mcdar not show every data center then?

The results do look better to me, but of course I would say that. Even some of the competitors that I rate better are higher and some of the useless sites gone.

:) I thought these were the dc used for testing - I have seen *good* results on these dc rolled in and out for the past 2 months or so. They never seem to go live across the other dc.

I have been checking multiple datacenters for the last couple of months very regulary as since the Big Daddy update there has not been the same results accross all datacenters.

One of my sites has had 4 diffrent sets of results accross dataceters and then another site I work on also has 3 diffrent sets of results this has been the same ever since the big daddy update pretty much as I say.

This is the tool I use to check multiple datacenters in one go.

I think that now they have made such big changes in the way google works (Bigg Daddy Update) that they are still testing a few diffrent versions to try and find the results they are looking for. Google are looking to chage the way they search in massive ways soon and I think this is all the runup towards it.

So basicly dont get to excited I have been waiting for a months now waiting for some results to roll out accross all datacenters and it just has not happened yet.

    One day one day. :)

I think it's stupid to even care about SEO anymore until Google fixes it's issues. You're all guessing, even the so called "SEO professionals" don't have a clue what's going on speaking honestly.

Just focus on word of mouth and viral traffic until google fixes this fiasco.

Well I would not go as far as saying it stupid to even care about SEO anymore until Google fixes it's issues. But your right in the sence it is not worth worrying about it to much.

Just keep did before at the moment, dont make any big changes to your site though to try and fix your problems, as you may wish you had not messed with it in the end once these search engines sort themselves out as it is not just Google playing up at the min MSN is also going a bit crazy at the min too.

Actually you left out what I said at the end there " Just focus on word of mouth and viral traffic until google fixes this fiasco."

If you do that then you will gain backlinks and the SEO will happen naturally. Honestly if you launch a popular site and it explodes with people buzzing about it, linking to it and visiting it, what's the point of working on SEO when you'll rank well anyway from all the backlinks that come from A) All the buzz and B) all the promotion you did.

I mean sure optimize your page initially to make sure it has the keywords you want, title tag here, H tag there, good meta tags including <title>. But beyond that if you market your site and it explodes.... well in my opinion, it's a pointless waste of time to pour any more energy into SEO than the initial page optimization that you did.

I also see changes in SERPs at 64.233.167.104. For my most important phrase G *should* yield primarily commercial sites as the search would be for business related services and products.

The other DCs typically place 3 .edu sites on page one. The results on 64.233.167.104 have those .edus on page two now, and 3 commercial sites that were on page two are now on page one.

I have the number 3 spot on all DCs so I am not effected at all. But, knowing the industry as I do, the SERPs on 64.233.167.104 are more consistent with what most searchers are seeking.

That might be true if Google were the only player, but they're not. I get half my traffic from other than Google, and SEO is paying off in those other search engines and traffic sources.

Yeah I'll admit I get decent traffic from all the search engines, both google and MSN especially. But...... my point is I didn't get the rankings I have in those search engines worrying about SEO ;). In fact I ignored it and just worked on buzz. The rankings came naturally.

That sounds like a good, balanced approach. The SEO you listed is pretty much what I do, then I focus on getting more links.

I am in the top 5 for most of my main keywords on these DC's. But these DC's have been doing this for the last 8 weeks. I have looked at them closely and most of the tiltes etc are upto date and also the sites look more relevent. But i think they are testing things only and it they roll them out then great. If not then i will just keep working away. I have stop worrying about thme now.

I am in the top 5 for all my keywords with MSN.co.uk and Yahoo for a site only 5 months old so i know i am going in the right direction.

On thing that really annoys me though is that in the UK Goolge is by far the leading in search done over here

    MSN 6%
    Yahoo 13%
    Google 75%

You think you guys have it bad in the US think about us poor old guys in the UK trying to break google when it has this type of market share.

For me the results these DC's are showing also show in my sitemap diagnostics tab.

the serps on that tab are exactly the same. I like the results better those dc's are showing by the way

16 DC's are showing different results right now.
