Google Adsense Channel ID help

    What is the purpose of the Google Adsense Channel ID?
    I tried to supply something in it but I always get this message:

    "You did not enter the correct format for the Google AdSense Channel ID field. Please read the field description for the expected format."

    So what is the correct format?

    Oh sorry I forgot to state my question completely/clearly. I was asking about the Google Adsense Channel ID field inside the User CP -> Edit Options menu here in DP.

    You need to set up a channel in your Adsense account then add the channel number in the box you are talking about in your CP .

    You need the channel number.
