How to find your adsense client and channel IDs.

I just worked out how to find your adsense channel ID (because the new code adsense produces it doesn't put in your channel ID) and thought i'd share it with everyone else incase they were stuck like I was for a while trying to find it.

    The Client ID

This is the easiest and most important ID to find out of the two.

First login to your account and click on the "My Account" tab on the top menu.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find a section under the heading of "Property Information". Under this heading you will find 3 codes saying something like this with numbers instead of the *'s:

    AdSense for Content: ca-pub-****************
    AdSense for Search: partner-pub-****************
    Referrals: ca-ref-pub-****************

All you need to do is take the pub-**************** from any of these (it's the same in each) and place it into the form in the "Edit Options" section of this forum.

    The Channel ID

This is the tricky one to find. You can no longer find it by creating an adsense code with this channel and finding the channel id in the code. You have to go to the channel section when you are logged into your adsense.

Once you are logged in go to the "Adsense Setup" tab on the top menu.

Once you do this there will be a bunch of sub-menu items appear underneath, click on the one which reads "Channels".

If you havn't done so by now create a channel to use for this forum, e.g. one named "dpforum". Now in the table it will show you the Channel ID (see image below).

If you need part of this clarified then please do reply here and I will do my best to explain it better.

    Thanks,
    TS
