Does anyone know of ways to get unbanned or reindexed with MSN/Live.

Please post your ideas or experience here.

I have a travel client that fell out of favour with MSN/Live that was originally doing quite well in their search results.

There is no way; you would've been warned by MSN/Live's TOS regarding Search Indexing. Break the TOS, and your site's gone.

Good question. You must have done some pretty serious stuff to get banned.
I don't think that search engines ban sites that easily.

Microsoft/MSN/Live have a means for requesting re-inclusion (similar to Google).
You may want to visit Windows Live help (section on "How do I add my site back to Live Search? ").

MSN banning sites from live.com link exchange. MSN is making an effort on spam and need to removed the unrelated link and the MSN will re-evaluate it for inclusion. Or you may check the link seroundtable.com/archives/006742.html

Just give it some time and see if they remove it.. If not you can try contacting them, but I bet it probably will not help your case at all....

    Good luck! :)

Well the site in question is a travel directory. I have not seen in their results for over a year now!

Traffic from MSN was on average between 5000 to 8000 per month depending on the season with the high end coming in the months of June, July and August.

kewlchat: there was never any duplicant content on the site.

articledirectory would love to know myself although I was at the time using linkdash but that is not to say it was because of them!

shaila: cannot see link exchange being a problem here

Malatya: The site did not spam

Confusion settles in! Anyone with some more suggestions of how to get reindex would be greatly appreciated.

maxyRO, we are talking about being getting unbanned from MSN - Live.

This has nothing to do with losing placement in MSN - Live. Please keep to the topic being discussed.

How do you know it is banned? Some people mix "not being indexed" with "being banned".

The site is almost 3 years old. It has not been seen in MSN results for almost a year now.

Numerous searches have been done. I think we know when a site has been banned and when a site not indexed.
