Geotarget, you never know how much money you are not making because of it

Well I decided with the recent slump in yahoo earnings to go ahead and take one of my under used servers and throw phpadsnew on it with the geotarget db from maxmind. Low and behold so far I've converted over 70% of my websites to geotargeting between yahoo and adsense and I made xxx dollars today the 23rd and its a sunday too. Not bad for taking the time out and messing with my sites and getting everything in phpadsnew and setting stuff up. Today the 24th looks like its going to make 2x that since I just added some sites to PAN in the evening of the 23rd. Plus I have the rest of my sites to add. Who would have thought geotargeting would yield such results. The only bad thing is I had to get an uptime monitor since I have 1 point of failure with an ad server now.

I highly reccomend those who don't geotarget to do so with phpadsnew and the geoip database. You never know the money you are not making because you aren't geotargeting. Try it, my might be as surprised as I am.

So, are you saying with geotargetting, you make money with ypn and adsense combined?

The only problem now actually is because of the difficulty to setup phpadsnew. If only can someone setup a very simple script. :)

Yes I am now making money with adsense and yahoo at the same time. Its not really that hard to setup phpadsnew. I read the manual and had it up and running pretty quickly.

That's why i started doing it as well. Since at the end of the month or whatever Yahoo will remove all your international clicks, you'll lose all those clicks that could have been going to adsense.

Nice, if I had more time to set it up I would. I tried that one simple script but it had problems running more than once even after I tweaked it, but yeah.
