Free Beta for Fast GeoTargeting Script

Finally available, the free beta of the geotargeting ad script.

As was requested by fellow DP YPN users to allow them to efficiently and easily geotarget YPN ads, I created 'mySimpleAds' to allow just that (and more). Send an American visitor a YPN ad and an international visitor an AdSense ad with one insert in your website.

mySimpleAds is an ad management package, created to provide a good set of features without being complex to use (its not meant to be a phpAdsNew replacement).

* Simple and very user-friendly administration control panel
* GeoTargeting allows you to target ads or groups of ads to over 240 countries
* Ad Expiration provides you the ability to automatically expire any ad simply by clicking on a date on a calendar
* With Ad Groups, you can rotate amongst a series of banners, text links, or any ad code
* Display one ad to one country and in the same spot display a different ad to another country all with one line of code

As far as geotargeting is concerned, it can handle multiple page requests with ease (and is designed to actually speed up multiple ad fetches). On multiple calls per user it will determine the country in often under 1000ths of a second. It utilizes a mySQL database to store the user information for 15 minutes to allow for quick country re-fetching.

I am looking for 10 beta testers or so (preferably under different server configurations). You will receive the full product for free when released in return for simple feedback on what was good/bad, did something not work, etc. Right now I plan on selling the product for a very small fee.

I will also be releasing a GeoTargeting Database Auto Update service shortly that will tie in with mySimpleAds to update the GeoTargeting database for you each month.

Server Requirements : PHP4+ and mySQL4+

Please PM me with your server configuration (IIS/Apache, PHP version, mySQL version - as best as you know) and an email address to send the script to, if interested.

What about filtering the mediapartner adsense and googlebots to see the adsense code?

whats the difference between this and phpadsnew?

 

IMO, phpadsnew is meant more for those that need 'ad campaigns' and advertisers logging into your site and managing their ads.

mysimpleads is focused more on the indivudual web publisher who wants a set of features such as geotargeting and expiring along with the ability to manage existing ads through a web console.

Can it handle high loads of traffic? My phpadsnew server does 6 million impressions day or more.

 

It's designed to be quick and efficient without tons of overhead. There's no reason it couldn't handle high traffic as equally well, or better, than phpadsnew, but I can't say I've ever found and/or utilized a good vehicle to try high traffic load from multiple IPs to give it a real good test. So if anyone is willing to throw it up on a high volume server for a little bit, that would be great.
