I can see from web archive that there actually was adsense running on site earlier.

It sounds weired to wait for 2.5 years for traffic to grow before adding adsense and then sell the website without even trying to see how much you earn.
(I completely trust this may be the case, but want to verify by seeing adsense on site once)

You can see adsense ads on the page, so im not banned at all from google adsense.
My goal was to have ads from buyselldads.com, but you need atleast 100k pageviews a month to be accepted, today i have around 30k. Due lack of time i don't have any extra time or energy to use on this site anymore, so i thought i was best to sell it while it's still got potential.
The ad-box on the left makes a "frame" around the content, it could have really have been something else.

 

captainfluffy: The first time the highest bidder didn't want the site after all. I then contacted the second highest bidder, but without response.
The second time the highest bid didn't make it over my lowest price. So i decided to try one last time without any auction.

 

Well, I am not sure but to ask, without revenue proof who will buy your site ? It's extreme important to test, how much site is making with this amount of traffic ?

oldpenny: If you see the potiential and know how to make money on different kind of sites, then you will buy it. I could work more on the traffic and sell it in a year or so with revenue proof, but i don't got time or energy to do so.

 

In my opinion, you have to attach some proofs.

If you think you can make a dollar each day on my site, you have earned your money back in less than a year. My BIN is low because i don't got revenue proofs. I totally agree that if you want much more for a site, you should have some revenue proofs. The design, all the wallpaperscollected and SEO-work should be worth at least 350$ in my opinion.

What are you main keywords? Is there any harm in putting Adsense on it, for example, and showing a week's revenue? Interested, but need more information. A lot more.

 

My main keywords are "free online wallpapers" and just "free wallpapers". For a month or so i ranked #9 for "free wallpapers" but then i dropped on that specific keyword.
From past experience i really don't think adsense is the best way to earn money for wallpaper-sites, unless you got huge traffic. Like i said before, i would try getting over 100k pageviews a month and sign up for BSA (buysellads.com).

 

So, as the site is get about 11,000 views right now, there's a long way to go until it reaches 100k and can be monetized. I don't have any experience of monetizing a wallpaper site, so I will take your word for it that the website you mentioned is the best way, mate.

 

Last month the site had 21,000 pageviews, so you need 79,000 more. But as we all know, the first 10,000 is the hardest.
If you search for best way to moneytize a wallpapersite the answer is CPA. I would perhaps try Neverblue.

 

Really, I guess that brings back to why you didn't do that then. A nice site, but the earning potential is really unknown. Could be buying into a white elephant. Thanks for you time, though.
