How a blog help in getting inbound links through multipleposts there, since all the links are from same IP? Isn't you realize that a blog on third website more hleps that website then you. I would recommend developing a blog on your own website and keep updating it and having content internal linking..please suggest
No, No, you want the link to come from a different IP, that is why I suggest people sign up an account, and talk about only things related to their websites. That way when google index's my site, they follow the links and count the link to your site BECAUSE it is on a different IP. If it was on the same IP, they wouldn't count it as a backlink, same thing with internal links. Even links to another domain that you have don't count if they are on the same class c I just checked today to see how much google has been crawling my site, so far I think it is going great. Look at this. http://bill.checkmyhead.com/2007/04/30/april-2007-google-crawls/
Hi, I am so new to this blogging world, started few months back, that sometimes some terms go beyond my imagination. Thanks.
I just added a very cool feature to this wordpress blog, I added digg, so people can see if the article has been dugg, and digg it if they want. So anyone that has started a blog, you can now digg your articles, which of course will bring people in, and which of course will tell people about your site. You have to turn it on in plugins and then go to options and turn it on in there - really nice plugin, hope this helps
I was always saying that I would check my notes when someone asked me something, and I thought, I need to have a site where people can put stuff they don't want to forget and they can just check it. Mainly things like say you tried out a product and it sucked, so a few months goes by or a year, and you are at the store and you think man, which product didn't I like, I should have wrote it down or something, I wish I could just check my head because I know it remembers which product sucked. Then I would by the wrong one, and I would get pissed that I wasted money. so I registered the domain, built a server, and got it running, so far I am pretty happy with it, getting a lot more hits than I thought I would, but I am really enjoying keeping track of things with it.
you have to turn it on under plugins, just click activate, then go to options -->gregarious and you will see a list of items with red x's just click each one to turn them on. Then from there it is automatic. If you can't figure it out, I can go it for you, I just need the name of your blog.
can you do it for me my blog name is: http://laura.checkmyhead.com/ thanks alot and you have very cool site
sorry for the delay in getting back to you, long drive home from work today. I took care of it. I don't know why the default doesnt activate all of the modules, but I activated them all, I seen you had a couple activate, I think the one you missed was digg stats, I also turned on the share module, which allows people to send the link via email and also submit to other social sites, but I think I have to tweak something, because the list doesnt show up when you click on the share button from a post. You can always just turn that one back off. It's working now, write some great stuff and get some diggs and you will bring a lot of traffic!
Site was down for 23 hours because of an AT&T T1 that sucks. I would like to hide the fact the site was down, but over 30 people from this forum have created blogs, and I just wanted you to know, that this type of thing does not happen. I waited around until 4 in the morning for AT&T to call, since they were supposed to be sending a line tech to splice the line, which they finally did at 5:30 in the morning so I then returned at 8:00 a.m. but the T was still down after about 20 calls to AT&T during the outage they were able to get it back up, so this shouldn't happen again. Besides, server is being moved very soon to an extremely fast center so no more of this T1 crap. So please, do not let this reflect on the reliability of the server, the server runs very well, and is very reliable, with nightly backups locally and mirrored offsite so you can blog away and trust your site will be there for you. Already seeing quite a few indexed pages, the more writing we have the more pages get indexed and the happier everyone is. Thanks, and if you run into any problems or have ANY questions feel free to comment in this thread and even PM me, I really want this site to take off, and I am working really hard at it and I will do whatever is needed to keep the server safe and online. After the new server is in place, this one will become a redundant mirror also.
Keep in mind where your links are posted...google ranks make a HUGE impact. Even doing this manual is well worht it for the right partner links.
hehe Go Spartans! Im not a big fan of pagerank right now. my brothers site got a pr3 and has nothing on it, I mean nothing, no text not even an index page! www.bswilson.com I had another thread started about it over here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=324888 about what a crock the pagerank is, of course I was upset when I said it was a crock, because really I do believe in the system.
The ideas suggested by you are nice. But you need to market your blogs first to get traffic from them to your site. And this is very difficult.
I agree about getting traffic to the sites and so far I think I am doing pretty good. I am completely open to suggestions. Within 6 weeks I have increased my unique visits to over 200 a day, some days are starting to break into the 300's I am trying to get everything on the site ready first, and then I am going to purchase some adwords to drive more traffic in. One thing I still have left to do is to add more themes to the site. That way people can have the default black/red theme or choose there own. If anyone wants to suggest there favorite theme, I will do my best to set it up and test it. Most themes should work, but I still need to make sure they are going to work properly. Making the site reliable is very important to me.
