I've been messing around with my blog for about a week now..the page views have been growing drastically but still little or no clicks coming through. But I believe my ad's have been targeting well because I only had one click yesterday but it came out to be .45cents for that click compared to the usuall 6 - 10cents. Any suggestions to turn those hits into clicks? Oh and my blog is in my signature.
That is great, I have had my blog up and post to it every few days since last dec, but I only average 150 visitors a month. I tried joining the blogexchange but havent heard back yet. I am curious if anyone knws some secret urls to post blogs to ?
Blog is not good basis for geting rich by clicks. People come to blogs to read, usually. Give extra content, I would do something about programming blog pages. Scripts, html.. Also, graphic, design are great keywords. I run something about that. Your sugestions on that.. Change color. It is too dark. I hardly find ads. heh
Notice you changed it. Good change on the color scheme. I'd place the banners under the header and if you can, follow this guide. Good luck.
I recommend that you embed your AS ads with your content. You'll have to change your Blogger setting so that your main page only shows 3 entries, but it's worth it. You'll get more clicks. You can see an example of this @ my Student Loan Consolidation Blog. AmCy
FYI: I had my blogs setup this way for a long time, with mediocre results. I am slowly converting all my blogs so that my ads are all embedded with the content. As always, IMO. AmCy
The "follow this guide" thread you recommended actually cites my student credit cards site as an example of an image coupling technique that many people have implemented with great success. I recommend that technique for most sites, and I think it can work with a blog only if the blog content is very consistent, thus producing the same kind of ads over and over again. I don't use the technique in my blogs because my content isn't always consistent, which means that one week I'll have ads for domain name registration, the next I'll have ads for various free contests, etc. Having images that don't match the content would be an abuse of the technique, and I would do it myself. But, again, if your blog gets the same type of ads over and over, then I guess it can work. AmCy
I know what it cites, and recommended it to him based on what his content is considering it's a blog about photoshop.
Definately its hard to expect blog reader to click, and you need hardwork and post everyday to attract more visitor. More visitor more click more earning ^^
