Okay, here's a beauty! I am the original owner, so I know this site like the back of my hand. But there is a certain mystery about the site that I do not care to spend time on and solve.

Here's a little bit of history on the site. The site was established on October 13, 2004. Yes, that's right, the site has been live for almost 3 full years with no breaks in uptime! It is not a dropped domain, content has pretty much remained the same for all of this time. Here is proof at archive.org:

    http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.fish-oil.tv

The site design was based on a template from Template Monster, but modified to my specifications. I created the site as a stand alone marketing hub to ultimately lead people to a company I was signed up with on a commissionable arrangement. The commissions per sale ranged from $30-$40 on the first sale and around 10% residual per month on any autoship customers. The products I speak of are Dr. Barry Sears' fish oil supplements, author of the best selling book, the Zone Diet.

Dr. Sears had partnered up with an MLM company for quite a few years to help market his products. This was the company I was signed up with where my commission checks were as high as $600 per month. By the end of Feb. 2007, Dr. Sears parted ways with this company. A few weeks went by and I started seeing other affiliates promoting Dr. Sears' own affiliate program ran by Commission Junction. So I converted all of my links over to affiliate links over.

Here is some info on the affiliate program:

    http://www.zoneliving.com
Our average order is well over $75.00!
Free Shipping on Orders over $75.00!
Customers Save up to 20% by signing up for Autoship!
    30 day return policy!
    10% for Retail Sales!
    14% for Autoship Sales!

A Retail sale is a non recurring, one time purchase. An Autoship sale allows customers to receive products on 30-90 day intervals with up to 20% discount for most products and can be stopped or altered at any time with no additional charges or fees.

Now here is the mystery, and ultimately one of the stupidest boo-boos I've ever made in the history of money making online. I also have another health related website where I market the same products from the same affiliate program. And since the breakup of the the MLM company and Dr. Sears affected both sites, I converted both of them over to the affiliate program. However, stupid me didn't create a channel or an ad ID (whatever you want to call it) to track the sales from both sites separately. And I'm an honest guy, so I'll tell you that the other site does get a ton more traffic. However, it also sells about 2,000 products by other manufacturers, in addition to a lot of other competing fish oil supplements that are much, much lower in price.

Just to give you an example, it costs $50 to $100 per bottle of Dr. Sear's brand fish oil. On the other site I speak of, we sell about 15 other brands of fish oil all under $50, with prices starting at $18.

So here's the deal. Since March 20 of this year, I have earned a total of $372.22 from the affiliate program. That's approximately $53.17 per month on average. However, I don't know what percentage of that belongs to the other site. Although I would love to multiply those earnings and base my sale price on that, I don't think I really need to in order to show you the value of this site. Here are few reasons why:

    - In about 2 weeks, the site will officially be 3 years old.
    - The domain is paid up until, you ready for this, Sept. 24, 2014!
    - It is a valid Pagerank 3. Go here to verify: http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker?domain=fish-oil.tv
    - All of the internal pages are a Pagerank 2.
    - This site has not been advertised for months, but still averages about 200 unique visitors per month (last 3 months). Before that it averaged about 300.
    - No Adsense or other types of monetization types have been tried on the site.
    - No links have been sold and any and all links found on the site may be removed. The only outgoing links on the site point to my other site and the affiliate links themselves.
    - You earn money not just per sale, but also residually. Meaning, you have the potential to earn month after month from the same customer since the merchant offers an autoship program. You will see from the stats I will post below that I currently have 9 customers on autoship which could be $113.70 residually barring that the customers don't cancel.
    - Not that I trust this site, but just for the fun of it Leapfish.com appraises the domain at $19,602.00. Another domain appraisal site was a bit over $20K. Don't worry, I'm not looking for anything close to that. But I do want to point out that every TLD using this two word combo is taken except for .mobi. And how much more keyword targeted can you get but "fish oil"?
    - I spent $700 to design and apply SEO techniques to the site.
    - I spent several hundred dollars (back in 2004) to submit the site to directories. Although, I'm not sure how effective those links are today.
    - The site has been listed in the Yahoo directory, but it is a paid link at $299 annually. It is paid up until June 30, 2008.
    - The site has a permanent paid link at Best of the Web: http://botw.org/nsearch/fish oil
    - Textual content is unique. Use Copyscape.com for proof.
    - Has an audio clip from Dr. Sears installed on the site.
    - There is a skincare article page with a PR2 at: http://www.fish-oil.tv/skin-care.html . You may delete this, re-do the article, or leave it alone and throw Adsense up on it. If I were you, I'd sell the page for X amount of dollars/mo. to someone to post their own article which links back to their site.

Overall, Where the value likes is the Pagerank, the domain name, the arena it's in (health), Adsense and link sales potential, the expiration date of domain, and the money already spent in the design and marketing. I'm not going to tell you what percentage of the sales this year belongs to this site since your guess is as good as mine. However, I would highly doubt that this site wasn't responsible for at least 1 out of the 24 sales shown on the Commission Junction report. Here are some screenshots.

So what else is there? Oh, the site is hosted at Site 5 and the domain is registered at talk-domains.com, which is simply a Godaddy reseller. So setup an account and it's a free push. No links on the site are paid links, meaning you can remove them. There is a phone number on the site which rings into our facility, but the last call that came in was back in June. Most people simply buy or call the number on the merchant's site since they get redirected when clicking on any of the buy buttons. You won't need a number at all.

Don't ask about why the traffic is low, I have not marketed this site since 2005 since I have other sites that need my attention. In other words, sites that make me a lot more money than this one. For someone who has more time though, it would not take much to get this site hopping and earning at least a few hundred dollars a month in commissions.

You'll have to move the site yourself since I am extremely busy. But there is no database, so you just need to back it up and re-upload it to your host. I haven't checked with Site 5, but maybe I can just turn the account over to you since I don't host any other sites with them. That way we won't have to move anything.

    Reserve: Yes
    Starting bid: $50
    Bid increments: $50
BIN: I'll post one once I get a feel of where this is going, so please don't ask. Simply track this auction and I will post it.
End time: 3 PM Eastern on Oct. 6th, BIN, or reasonable offer is made.

I reserve the right to not sell if my reserve is not met. I will announce here when it has been reached. I may also post this on sale at Sitepoint or other sites. If and when I do, I will post a link here so that you can check high bids (if any).

    Any questions, ask away.
