Editing a .PSD logo

    Hi

As part of a wordpress template I have been given a logo in .psd format which is supposedly editable and wish to change the text to something more suited to my site. The file has only two layers, but I cannot see how to edit the text. Can anyone enlighten me please? I have tried Gimp with no success.

    Thanks

    Rob

You probably don't have the same fonts, find out which font it is and download it.

I am not sure if you solved your problem or not but I'll try to help.
    1- You have photoshop right?
2- In photoshop you have 2 layers right?
3- Do either of the layers have the simbol of a letter on top of them indicating that they are indeed text format?

If all of the above are yes then you just need to select the text tool on the tool pallet, select the layer with the text and edit.

If the answer to number 3 is no then your layer is rasterized which means it is not a text anymore.

The layers are "rasterized" so I'm re-doing everything from scratch instead. Thank you for the advice given.
