Take a close look at this great article from Compar, http://www.compar.com/infopool/articles/PR-calculation.html In general pagerank flows from one site to another, it's not to say that from one pr5 link your webpage gets a pr3. I'd suggest to get many many links to your website and start to think about your serp instead of pagerank. Pagerank is nice but it's not the keyfactor in the seo game. There are several good (paid) webdirectories to submit your website to, for instance: site-sift.com, botw.org, alivedirectory.com, dirspace.com, azook.com, abifind.com, businessseek.biz, greatnexus.com, joeant.com, tsection.com, webxperience.org, sevenseek.com, categorizedweb.com, and many many more to mention.. Check this thread for more info about web directories. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=25101
I really would like to kiss you man but you are not a girl nor where i am. So i just can say thanks so much for that information
I just started using this Directory Submitter Tool and love it. Really speeds things up. And yes, will help PR!
you can also try manual directory submission services, which will submit your website to free, search enging friendly and non reciprocal directories. we provide such services as well and there are many others on these forums as well. Its a good, cheap and fast way to get your website listed on 100-300 websites.
Do you provide a report after the submission or it's trust based ? If it's cheap i may be interested in the future. But me i can do myself i mean i can submit, i've a list of 150 directories. I dont have a lot. I know you guys have more than i have... So anyway i'll have to make a smart choice
we do provide a complete report after submissions are complete. We list when and where we have submitted your website with PR of the directory. Turnaround time is 1-3 days depending on how many users are ahead of you in our submission queue.
