Directory Blacklist

Well, I never wanted to do this, but lately there has been such a large increase in unethical behavior by directory owners, that I really had no choice. So, I've started a Directory Blacklist at:

This is a list of directories where the owner has shown unethical behavior. I'll be very careful in adding directories onto the list and always give the owner a chance to reply. Also, the list won't be retroactive.

Please do not do business with anyone on the list. There are plenty of honest and ethical directory owners that you can work with instead.

This happens very remotely in a directory business and it can get boring writing a directory blog

The ones you have reported in your post are the obvious ones, do you have a criteria to list dirs that are doing unenthical business but one that does not meet the eye ?

You being an expert, must be having some trick up your sleeve

 

Hey online you better have some solid backing proof , not just dp proof before you call someone unethical , cause one day you will list a directory more powerful than yourself and might end up fighting a big lawsuit.

So, just be careful as to what you list.

good move jeff, this kind of directories just give bad names to directory business

 

I am just curious to know on wht basis those directories have been categoried as unethical or not trust worthy?

 

Do you have any panel of judges to describe, decide on the fate of the directories, or its decided by yourself what is right or what is wrong.

But I would say it is a welcome move

You need to weigh a lot of factors before deciding on black listing a directory

I was really shocked with no.2 and I am sure he can't win on any court on the world if he wants to take charges(which I highly doubt).

Just like Jeff does not like compiling this list, no one wants these events to happen, but he had no real alternative, but lets hope we can purge the Directory Market of these parasites

Thanks Jeff-- I hope with times, that list will be as referred to as the Strongest Drectory List.
It is also very fair of you to give equal footing to all in the beginning.

Lets hope this move acts a a DETERRANT for those trying to get some quick bucks.

directory owners we should all spread this black list around so these directories won't have any resource

 

I am not so sure this is a great idea.

Why not recruit some other directory owners so it is not just one person in charge of the list?

This would give it far more credibility.
