Creating DP Trusted Directory Owners List - now based on survey

ok, I had to create this new thread though old one is still useful, but I didn't want you guys to waste time because I think it would be better to get points for each candidate member through the survey. It's a simple yes-no type. This is rather easier for everyone, I think.

    Warning!:

I want more DP directory owners to be listed in the survey, so please PM me or post here if you run (not just own) a directory business and active member in this forum. So, please do not submit it yet. I am still in the process of adding more members first.

    Here is the survey link.

As I said, the question is not too direct one, "Do you trust this directory owner?". Instead, it's rather based on your positive business experience with them.

"Positive business experience" in our term is based on the following key factors.

    You had a positive business experience with a directory owner because;

    1. Good seller (no misleading, free/paid offer delivered quickly)
    2. his/her customer service was good (spontaneous work, follow-ups)
    3. his/her promotion as a dedicated owner (could buy with confidence)
    4. Good buyer (spontaneous payment, returning customers)
    5. Sharing his/her tips, helping promotion, friendship, etc.

So, when you take the survey, keep in mind those factors to consider. Let at least 2 factors make you decide for a "yes".

If this is too complicated, I will respect your decision after all. :D

Once you get 5 yes's, I will list your DP nickname and 2 links of your directories (2 anchor texts), here. I've just started promoting the forum (finally). I have a plan to get more people, especially from SEs in this on a regular basis. So, being listed is not just a matter of being recognized by other DP members, but also for a promotional purpose. ;)

yes, no, maybe, don't know etc. choises! would give a bit more flexibility!
    cheers!:)

The problem, I found is --I had to choose either YES or NO even for those members with whom I had not yet had chance to do business.

I think it is not fair on members. For example --how can people say if I am good or bad without dealing with me?

Hopefully, with time and suggestions you could improve the options. Best of luck.

Question is based on "If you have done a good busienss with the owner." It doesn't necessarily suggest anything negative from a "No".

If one chooses for a "no", it could mean that they just don't know you.

So, if they don't know you, they shouldn't choose "yes" but without implying something "bad". Of course they can choose for saying they had a bad business experience". And I suggested to make a post in the forum if the case is really bad.

Having said that, I can easily add one more option for "N/A" for example for a neutral answer. Should I include that? Give me more feedbacks and opinions. You are making the list more quality!

I think it will be a better Idea.

As you said in other thread
So, If I have not dealt with someone, I should be saying N/A instead of saying NO. (Which i think will be counted as negative)

First of all, the survey page is not going to be in public, so those who know about it are the ones who are reading this thread.

Among the ones that read here and know the page should take their own responsibility for taking the survey.

Ultimately, I can't be responsible for their irresponsibility.

I will add an text box for entering DP nickname, so we will be able to track who did the survey. (or at least admin should be able to see it)

That would work. Infect, entering DP Name should be a must option and Survey without it shouldn't be counted.

Also, each user should fill the form only once. (Can be tracked by DP Names)

Although I don't see a reason why would one be trying to fill wrong info but who know ... ;)
It's always a good idea to offer the best solution so you should consider adding few checks.

ok I'm done with the creating an example one. See if you guys like. I actually added one more option.

Now, this caused me to think about the rule. I think I need to modify a little bit.
So, I need to ask you what you think of.

    1. Instead of 5 Yes's, now 5 "Highly Recommended" for being listed.

    2. 7 Yes's also to enter the list.

    3. 1 No counts as negative, subtracting 1 Yes.

OR no subtracting from yes, but total 5 No's get the name removed from the list.

I hate to make it complicated, but what's your opinion?

Btw, I decided to keep the example survey open for a while, so people can see it. After gathering all the ideas for this, I will build/modify it again.

The link should be working now. Example survey.
