Banner info says: "In order to post in the forum-based marketplace, you need to be an established or premium member. If you would like to sell digital goods in the digital goods marketplace, you do NOT need to be an established/premium member first." So it seems there're two different front-ends. A forum-based marketplace https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/sites.52/ and a "digital goods marketplace". https://marketplace.digitalpoint.com/sites But when you enter https://marketplace.digitalpoint.com/sites and click "Sell Website", it redirects to https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/sites.52/create-thread Then we can read in https://marketplace.digitalpoint.com/ "Your place to buy/sell anything digital". But it seems that everything there are "items for sale". So, you must be an established member. To get that you need 3 "Likes". Easy, isn't? Not so fast, dude! It seems that the message/like ratio is 100/1. Here are some examples. member msg/likes: sidfromla 863/7; healthytalk 389/4; MarketCap 271/2 But of course you can buy a premium membership for $25/month.
Not sure where the confusion is... seems you have a good understanding of it all. As far as member message to like ratios, it's a pretty pointless metric there because not all members have the same ratio. Some members post better quality stuff than others. Random users with high ratios: https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/prion.827134/ https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/mr-helpful.735742/ https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/aayush-ranaut.776617/ If you are shooting for posting useless posts, then yes... it will take you a very long time to get 3 likes. If you post good stuff, it's easy/quick. It's all about quality over quantity.
Yes, I was expecting that kind of answer. Another topic. I see a clear difference between selling and buying. Everyone is selling something, but buyers are the driving force. Sellers should be established members, not buyers. Buying offers are a special case. It's like "girls enter free the disco".
That's how it works... there's nothing preventing anyone (established or otherwise) from buying. For example recent things people sold that were bought by non-established members: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...-day-200-000-pages-indexed-in-google.2745231/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/web-design-website-cssdesign-net.2745186/
I'm talking about buying offers (i.e. looking for a programmer, or a task getting done). As you seem like a good person, I'm gonna be frank. I'm looking for someone to show me a demo of Firefox vulnerability. Freelancers websites only allow hiring or offering for careers. Fiverr is for people offering, not asking. So I came here, but found out that I need 3 likes (mission impossible) or buy a membership. So I decided to post my offer in the Programming forum, but my post was deleted. Sorry! Finally I reformulated my original post. I think my purpose is fair, but I know I'm alone in this enterprise.
If you are looking to buy services, you can post it here: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/services.60/ There are no other locations/options for you to post buying or selling services here. The marketplace area is strictly a benefit for existing users of our site, it was never intended as an area for use by people who don't use the site otherwise.
I don't understand why you deleted my post titled "Arbitrary code execution vulnerability in Firefox". (I was wrong when I trusted you). I was just asking a question about a programming topic, not offering a job. Instead, you allow other posts that are clearly asking for a work to be done: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/i-need-a-program-built-for-my-business.2745364/
For domains/sites, yes... https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/changes-to-domains-sites-marketplace.2746733/#post-19125038
See this post here, I gave him his third like. Hell , I would have given him five stars for making such a helpful post. I even shared it on social media. Very helpful. page-redirect-forwarding. - So just do some random stuff like that - or start a thread with something funny or useful in it. No worries.
