Competition Analysis

Can any one please tell me how to do competition analysis for a particular website from SEO point of view.

Choose your keywords on which you want to rank.
Type keywords one by one on search engines on which you want to rank (Google,Yahoo!, Bing etc).
Select first five or can more top ranking websites on those keywords.
Check for Domain age, Pages, Page rank, Back links, Network Sites, Information architecture, Design, HTML.
In HTML you should analyze Meta tags,Images Optimization, Alters, Internal linking and Keywords density etc.

From SEO point of view, you have check the the Back links of your competitor and other SEO activities with the help of different Competitor analysis tools

 

Firstly you should Find top 10 Competitors website list then check Google, Yahoo and Bing back links and you can also check Alexa Rank of each website, It will give you all detail that where your websites lies in all the competition.

Your website should have maximum back links and minimum Alexa Rank.

 

You can do this most easily and with the least effort by installing an extension or addon by the name of SEO Quake. All the details will just be a click away.

 

Find your competitors by searching with your keywords in search engines. Then find Back links of each competitor website and find how many pages has been indexed. After that check Alexa rank of each competitors and find page rank of each website. it will give you idea where your website lies.
