So I signed up for an account 2 days a go, submitted www.yawoop.com and out of no where today I get a mass wave of traffic from the website. No explanation yet to why or what created the hype I will keep you updated on how it happened so maybe it can happen for you! I will update when I analyze the situation in more detail. movie time right now I also added the same stats but only taken hours earlier ( literially hours!!) look at then here, (267 hits from the site) http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=545983 Cheers
While I understand your excitement - 267 hits is very, very low from StumbleUpon. I can't wait to see how excited you are when you get a real spike - like over 2k! It happens pretty regularly. Keep up the good work!
I get 267 hits with one thumbs up... you should try trading stumbles at the DP freebies section and you will get ~1000+ easily
wow I didn't know that much traffic could come from this website. I will research more in the am on how to achieve this sucess. I would also like to learn about these stumbles! I thought a stumble was to visit ones page and browse it! Anyway if anyone has any idea what caused this rush please post a reply so I can repeat what happened!
Be careful though. It appears that StumbleUpon is becoming like Digg and sending out nastygrams to people. It won't be long before they start closing accounts. The stumble exchanges should probably be done in the registered user sections of forums or via other tools.
How do you get 2k visits from Stumble Upon. I purchased 120 Stumbles from a guy and my site is featured on 5 tags, but im averaging about 80 clicks a day from there. Not bad,but thats not close to 2k
Hey B-Scott Great question! Here is what I can tell you - the most important part is getting the site in the most relevant category, and tagging it right. Pay special attention to get these factors correct, and then go to the freebies section here (with caution as the last poster warned) and get in on some "stumble exchanges". If you get in while there are a lot of them going on, and you're article or site is unique - 2k hits is easy to attain! I don't know all the dynamics involved, but what I said above definitely has something to do with it, as I've tested many, many times, and correct categories and tags always gets tons more hits Hope that helps.
Stumbling your own pages too much, getting stumbled by same people every time decreases your stumble traffic too much. I will publish a review about stumble traffic soon. (as soon as i find a way to increase stumble traffic again
Thanks for the insight guys please help me out here if you can, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=554660
