I have a question about PayPal.... I would like to create a PayPal account so I can make a purchase, but I want to use fake info. I am a member of perk.com, and I have enough points to get $20 in PayPal cash. I would like to use this to make a purchase from a website for in-game content of an online game. The whole point of this is to ask, can I make an account with fake info? I do not want to use another persons info(To prevent identity theft). I was going to use info like "Bob Bobberson" as the name and "252 fake lane, fakeville, (random state)" as street info. I just want to quickly create the account, make payment, then cancel the account once I got my content. Is any of this illegal? I might have additional questions later.
Yes, PayPal is a financial institution, so you are committing a crime, especially after that Patriot Act and all BS. Why not just make/use a real one?
OK thank you. I am only 15, and I wanted to purchase from Mineplex.com. My mom believes it is a "waste of money", but this Minecraft server is the only one worth buying from(in my opinion). I just want to make an anonymous purchase...that is all.
No, it's called "fraud". PayPal usually verifies each PayPal account with Govt. ID and will close, suspend or limit any account that violates PayPal agreement
Are u serious! They don't ask any proof if you are from German & the funny things I have tested this.
watch out with this. They might but might not ask you to verify your account. Depends on your activities. If you will just receive money from CPA company that is fine but they will ask you to provide photo ID when you reach certain level of cash in your in your account ( withdrawal/sending )
Hi, you "can" create a PayPal account with fake info. However, some merchants only accept payment from verified PayPal account. Besides, unverified PayPal account has limitations, or you might need to prove your identity if requested. Failed to do so can cause your PayPal account and funds to be frozen.
What you're essentially trying to do is fraud and it might really bite you in the future. You're 15 now so you can't signup for a regular PayPal account, once PayPal limits your account and requests ID among other things to prove who you are they are going to put 2 and 2 together and block your account. Now when you turn 18 and try signup for an actual legitimate account, you'll find they won't let you as you're only entitled to 1 (which would have been permanently blocked).
You can use fake info but if you get any problem, fake info will not help, because paypal will ask for your details such as ID Card, Driving License etc.
Sure, you can. That doesn't mean you should. It's not worth it if you get caught. If you make your own money, you can do as you wish.
Government staff frequently communicate to the public using pseudonym or 'fake' identities (e.g., IRS correspondance), so use of pseudonym data is not necessarily illegal or wrong. Paypal is also not a real bank, thus submitting pseudonym info to them is not subject to bank regs regarding fraud. When was the last time a Paypal message you received present the verified ID of the person communicating with you? What is a fact is that Paypal, as per its policies as a private business, can limit or suspend accounts at any time, and sometimes for NO reason, even if real ID verifying data has been provided. So as a matter of risk management for their business, many online marketers use pseudonyms to be able to quickly restore Paypal availabilty in case their main account has been inexplicably frozen.
Here's a real life horror story from another DP member... https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...email-account-is-limited-please-help.2665383/
Well sincerely i dont know sure but i know that later on if you want to verify your paypal acount with a credit card you cannot do it as it dont fill with your real details
You can create PayPal using fake info, but it is definitely a bad idea. Your account may be blocked, and you may stay without money. In the worst-case scenario, you may be even arrested and sentenced because of that. From the legal point of view, creating fake PayPal accounts is an illegal action.
You will create account and get money into paypal account.Thats fine.I did not try,but we can withdraw money to our bank account only if the paypal account name and bank account name matches.Hope this helps!
yes, you can create an account. You can even recieve money with fake info/account but you can't use that. unless you provide them with your identity and utility bills etc. and if you don't give those to them, after 6 months, they will eat away your money in paypal wallet.. simple.
