Yes your allowed to. Well on Adbrite it clearly states your allowed to, I contacted adsense, one person told me yes and another told me no... What is the real answer?
I don't think I'll ever know the answer to this, I've been searching it for a long time now. From what I understand, you can't have a 2nd "contextual" ad on your page as Adsense (or two ads that look at content and display an ad accordingly).
This is correct, but what people are not understanding is that AdBrite is NOT contextual like Adsense is, therefore it IS allowed. I just emailed google on this issue and they specifically state in their tos that it is allowed as long as the other ads cannot be confused with adsense ads. Just don't make your adbrite ads look like your google ads and everything will be just fine!
@markn26: Google has changed their policies. It is no longer about being contextual but the "look" of the ads. So technically you can have YPN + Google on the same page. Here's the snippet from their policies page: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182&topic=8423 In short, use different colours for ads from different networks. To those above who say "yes" and "no" without really knowing why, the Google Adsense help pages are THE BEST resource. Use it. Further more, people should really use the search function on these forums - this question has been asked too many friggin times!
I don't know the answer.. but why would anyone use Adbrite anyway? I have used them for numerous sites, and average pay of just cents per click. They are pathetic.
Firegirl is correct. AdBrite is not contextual and thus bis not a violation of the ToS for either program. I got the same response from AdSense when I inquired: Just make sure you're not using the same colors, etc. I went one extra step and labeled the AdBrite ads clearly - see http://forum.psychlinks.ca (footer).
