is it? someone told me that we have to disbale some function in adbrite so it would not be agaisnt adsense rules. Can someone tell me that?
It wasn't allowed to have Adsense and other contextual ad systems, I just read it is allowed now Read here
AdSense with alternative PPC for publishers like AdBrite and Kontera are okay now. Other contextual ad systems that mimic AdSense are not allowed though.
Yes, I just received confirmation from google via email that it is ok to use Adbrite as an advertiser and as a publisher with Adsense on your site: "Rest assured that you may view pages containing your own Google ads without the risk of generating invalid impressions, and that participation in AdBrite is not against our program policies. However, our program policies state that in order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads." So if you just make sure that the Adbrite ads on your site don't look like the google ads, you should be just fine!
That's awesome news! I guess they are trying to cater to the needs of their webmasters afterall! I mean without webmasters.. what is adsense?
does that mean we dont have to turn of the network ads in adbrite if we have adsense on the same page.
No you can run network ads with Adsense. AdBrite is not contextually based, so it is OK. Another trick I found with AdBrite is DO NOT auto approve network ads. When you approve them yourself, you can see what the highest paid ones are, and you can choose what is targeted for your content. The network ads were getting so untargeted I wasn't making any money...
