Cached pages

I noticed a couple weeks ago that the cached page google has of one of my websites has reverted back to a completely different layout I had in March of last year, and shows the date 3/15/04. Google in fact crawls my site on a daily basis, why is it all of a sudden showing an old page? It was fine up until a couple of weeks ago.

I have noticed that Google is doing strange things with caching these days!

One thing I have found to be effective (in my case at least) in getting Googles attention to update the cache again, is to open and save the page again (not neccessary to change contents) and re-upload it to your site.

This will update the "time stamp" of the page.

edited to add: one thing I do update on the page is a meta tag with the current date (<meta name="Date" content="5/03/05">).

I have talked about this problem in another thread on this forum...
