    Well, it has been 14 days since Google has updated the cache on the experiment page.

    (been stuck at Apr 17, 2005 15:32:38 GMT since 4/20/2005)

    I am going to go in and update the "time stamp" as well as my "meta tag date" (<meta name="Date" content="4/17/05">) and re-upload to the site.

    We'll see if and when Google updates it's cache of the page.

    This experiment is becoming a cache test. (could be critical) Actually, Caryl, I've never considered cache or the cache date with regard to ranking. I haven't seen it mentioned much with regard to SEO. I'm wondering if you could summarize your ideas and findings?

    Actually, I have started a topic on cache dates in the main Google forum...

    Watch your cache dates!!!!

    I had seen many little threads spattered here and there, about this topic so I
    starting that thread as an attempt to draw attention to issue where many more people would find it.

    BUT - today reverted back to an older version of the page!

    Well it looks like the page has finally settled.

    I wonder if the recent update had anything to do with that, I think think thats about when it settled...... for my sites nothing is moving at all since then......like the calm before the storm :D

    The page got pretty stable around 4/15 - 4/16 and the last update was on 4/22. So about a week before the update.

    YES, things have been VERY quiet lately and it feels very much like a calm before a storm!!!!

    There could be another update in our very near future...
